Business Development Representative

Get Inspired by the Work You'll Do

Responsible for developing strategic marketing/ product line business plans and marketing programs to support sales in designated market segments

Seek to develop and maintain strong customer relationships while identifying and closing new business

Support the Sales teams in designated market segments

Be involved at the executive level with vendor to include discussions that affect the bottom line of their business and act as a partner in setting business goals

Maintain strong relationship with vendors

Identify volume and strategic customers and develop partnerships accordingly

Analyze market data to identify trends/opportunities and develop strategic direction from acquired information

Periodically create reports and make group presentations at customer sites

Proactively develop innovative ways of uncovering new business

Act as a solid solution seller incorporating the vendors' full product line

Regularly meet and/or exceed sales goals

Attend various events and trade shows

Your passion is sparked by:

Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university a minimum of three years of related and/or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience

Good understanding of the component storage market as it pertains to memory and drives

Experience in the component distribution market and/or reseller market in a sales, business development, marketing, or product management role a plus

Proficiency with Excel

Demonstrated background planning, organizing and scheduling in an efficient manner, focusing on key priorities

Ability to do occasional travel to customer locations and distribution events

VIEW JOBS 1/18/2019 12:00:00 AM 2019-04-18T00:00 Position Title: SBA Business Development Associate Reports To: SBA Sales – Specialty Manager Direct Reports: N/A Salary Grade: 17A SUMMARY: This position is responsible for developing new leads for SBA 7a, SBA 504 and USDA for the SBA Group under the direction of the assigned manager. This position is a step in the BDO training process. There are no annual production goals for this job. Incentives are paid on the loans closed and the individual's contribution to the team objectives. JOB REQUIREMENTS: * Bachelor's degree preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required * Motivated self-starter * Able to work independently with limited supervision * Above average knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word * Good interpersonal communication and organizational skills * Excellent customer service and telephone skills * Attention to detail * Ability to quickly learn and work within SBA areas of specialty and related SOP requirements * Participates in all required compliance training, including Bank Secrecy Act/anti-money laundering training, as well as internal and external training programs, online training, meetings, and seminars/conferences, etc. * Travel is required JOB FUNCTIONS: * Generates new business thorough supervised prospecting including outside calling and networking. Develops and maintains a referral source database. * Familiar with SBA credit policy and other Bank policies and procedures * Achieves 100% of established annual objective. The objective is measured by incremental achievements of the assigned team, number of loans closed and any other assigned goals. * Develops and implements marketing activities within the budgetary constraints established by the manager. This includes sales presentations in specific markets. * Maintains and applies a thorough understanding of the bank's credit policy, SBA eligibility and all necessary business practices to ensure the submission of accurate and complete loan application packages. * Assists with closing requirements on all loans within the team. * Responsible for adhering to and complying with all Bank policies and federal and state banking laws and regulations * Perform a variety of other duties requiring knowledge of SBA and bank procedures * Assist in the creation and maintenance of files within the SBA software * Deliver excellent service to customers both inside and outside the Bank * Other duties as assigned Annual incentives for this position are paid under the specific guidelines of the BDO Compensation plan approved for the applicable period.
