As the account strategist and steward of the account relationship, the Business Development Executive develops business strategies and opportunities with customers to expand existing relationships while also developing new accounts and relationship.

The Business Development Executive is responsible for achieving sales quota targets and channel KPIs, providing sales coaching, training and marketing expertise and support to the channel. You work side by side with dealer district managers, store managers & store associates on monthly district, & store plans.

To successfully execute and meet goals you partner with store associates to improve sales processes in support of Ingram Micro's selling initiative(s). Help dealers recruit quality talent and aid with people development, training and education and positioning of product, pricing and promotions. Consults with dealer management regarding financial results, hiring, staffing, marketing, store operations internally and across the Dealer base. The Business Development Executive is also responsible for sharing best practices across dealers and developing sales behaviors to increase conversion and activations. You identify, manages and resolves customer issues and tracks dealer performance. Clearly communicate all changes in product, service and/or procedures in a timely manner. Maintains an effective relationship with the AR to ensure the quota attainment goal is met.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS: KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCES:

  • Bachelor's degree and two years related work experience or six years related work experience post high school

  • Three years sales and/or account management experience previous strategic, outside sales, account management experience in related industry or six-year experience with Ingram Micro in a sales or customer service capacity as a Business Development Representative or equivalent.

  • Strong understanding of strategic selling principles, order management, project management, and operations

  • Proven success in growing and maintaining year-over-year sales results.

  • Knowledge of: Advanced knowledge of Ingram Micro products, services and value proposition.

  • Skilled in: Negotiations, closing sales, coaching and developing Associates in high performance culture, and order management.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, ability to present in both technical and non-technical terms to large and small audiences.

  • Ability to: demonstrate business and financial acumen, use influence effectively to drive ideas and initiatives with internal and external partners, multi-task, respond to rapid change, manage projects, manage detail, manage relationships and resources, and set realistic and achievable goals/objectives and timelines.

  • Must have valid driver's license, three consecutive years of active driving history, successfully complete driver's safety training, and otherwise comply with Ingram Micro's Driver Safety Policy and guidelines.

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills, Spanish bilingual required

  • Excellent Computer Skills required, including Software knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Access, Outlook) is preferred.
