Comdata is seeking an outside salesperson to cover the Northeastern US as our newest Business Development Executive for Merchant equipment. The Business Development Executive drives sales by communicating face-to-face and by phone, with new/potential prospects. This individual is not only responsible for closing the sale but also completing the sales process along with an inside sales professional teammate. Together, roles may include order processing/entry, price quotations, information input and management, RFP response, product training, scheduling appointments and/or other related tasks. This role will work from home and travel to meet prospects in the Northeastern US.
Partner with Inside Sales Representative to sell to and manage a quota-based territory within the US.
Source new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound calls and emails.
Hunt for new sales leads using own initiative.
Conduct research and discovery to identify key decision makers and additional information about the companies to generate interest.
Evaluate prospects to determine their potential.
Complete sales process with prospects/clients: initial call qualification, product/solution presentation, close of sale, start-up and account development.
Present solutions and different product configurations based on understanding customers' needs.
The Ideal Candidate
Proven hunting experience in an outside sales environment, successfully achieving and exceeding quotas
Knowledge of CRM tool, preferably salesforce.com
Experience selling multiple products/services, including physical equipment
Excellent communication skills including verbal and written form.
Ability to communicate and engage employees at all levels of an organization
Experience in selling a technical product/service which can be configured multiple ways
Experience in high-value equipment sales, preferred.
2+ years of proven sales success.
High school diploma. College degree preferred.
