This person will build relationships and help our team connect with key business leaders through conferences, networking events and professional industry associations. Qualifies leads with targeted prospects and referral sources.
Develops opportunities with qualified prospects and participates in determining the pursuit team makeup.
Develops and maintains a current working knowledge of practice and service lines.
Understands the business and industry developments through attending conferences and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the in order to facilitate dialogue with prospective clients.
Represents the firm's service offerings and codevelops a plan alongside the leadership team with prospects that aligns their business requirements with the firm's capabilities.
Transfers sales knowledge and skills to DHG's clientserving professionals, principally partners and managers, across the firm's footprint.
Facilitates the sales process and related programs/protocol to support firm reporting (CRM) and fosters a business development culture.
Assists in managing the sales pipeline and ensures proper protocol for notifications and proposal development.
Collaborates effectively with members of the various other geographic, industry and serviceline practices, other Business Development Executives, and the marketing team.
Strong track record of building relationships and business development, preferably in a professional services environment.
A professional network, including contacts with prospective clients and referral sources is preferred.
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written, including facilitating and presenting).
Able to work effectively with and build relationships with leaders and different levels of management.
Demonstrated skill in all facets of business development process as part of a pursuit team (prospect, nurture, followup, followthrough, negotiating and closing).
Proven ability to collaboratively team with highly credentialed service delivery professionals to nurture relationships and close sales (a team builder and leader).
Professional, polished appearance and personable demeanor required.
A positive and optimistic attitude, an energy giver.
Bachelor's degree and 7+ years of business development experience.
Ability to travel as needed required
