Role Overview
Kodak is looking for a Director of Business Development, to join Kodak in its emerging life sciences venture.
The Director of Business Development for Kodak Diagnostic Test Reagents is:
Responsible for leading the execution of the short-term and long-term sales plans at targeted levels
A key member of the Management team providing cross-functional leadership for execution and delivery of the commercialization plan
Responsible for the development and execution of the Kodak Diagnostic Test Reagents value proposition with end customers, channel partners, designers, and other industry influencers
An active champion in the marketplace for diagnostic test reagents; must have direct and recent experience
A self-starter with strong entrepreneurial skills to help build this new business from the ground up
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Drive the company to achieve short-term and long-term sales plans at targeted levels
Create a sales organization which delivers value to customers by building key customer and channel partner relationships, executing strong value propositions, assessing competition, delivering on customer commitments, and creating a powerful brand position in the market
Utilize key customer and channel partner relationships to provide feedback and ideas for expanding the portfolio of reagents Kodak offers
Motivate and lead a high-performance sales team by attracting and retaining key personnel and managing performance through clear performance expectations, accountability, and feedback
Further build organizational capability by developing and leveraging the sales processes and systems infrastructure necessary to meet growth objectives including a strong sales process, sales opportunity portfolio and measurement of customer satisfaction
Build personal relationships with executives at key customers, channel partners and other industry influencers to align strategic objectives and drive sales
Effectively communicate with Kodak's leadership team, employees, customers, channel partners and other external stakeholders
Provide key strategic, market, customer, competitive and operational information to Kodak's leadership team for strategic decision making
Role model the company's desired culture, values and behavior including ensuring organizational safety, ethics, and compliance with laws, regulations, and code of conduct
