Business Development Director

As the Business Development Director at SS+K, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing strategies to fuel our agency's growth. Reporting directly to the leadership team, you will spearhead both new business development and marketing initiatives, ensuring that our company continues to expand its reach and thrive. Your ultimate goal will be to devise and implement innovative tactics to attract and secure clients whose values align with our agency's, enabling us to deliver exceptional work that reflects our commitment to excellence.

This role is a 3 month fixed term contract.

What you'll do:

• Identifying and cultivating relationships that can lead to new business, including

• relationships with partner agencies, consultants, etc.

• Managing the business development process and pitches from start to finish, including judicious activation of agency team members and resources for new business needs.

• Playing a pivotal role in the positioning of the agency in the marketplace, with an eye toward differentiation from competitors and attracting new prospects.

• Guiding the development of new sales, marketing, and thought-leadership materials for the agency, with the help of agency leaders.

• Managing the PR strategy for the agency, including oversight of the agency's PR relationship.

• Collaborating with the M&C Saatchi US and Global marketing teams on cross-network business development.

• Managing the day-to-day marketing channels of the agency, including newsletters website, and social media content.

• Oversight of agency awards submission process, in coordination with individual account leaders.

What you'll bring:

• Extensive experience in an agency environment in business development-type roles

• Track record of identifying and securing new business opportunities

• Experienced in leading pitches, as well as writing pitch documents, proposals, and other new business materials.

• You have a keen interest in the business of marketing, and an avid consumer of industry news & content, to learn about important emerging trends and agency growth strategy.

• You foster collaboration to gather information, form ideas, and plans, and then are able to take a leadership role in moving projects forward.

• You operate with a sense of urgency and are comfortable having multiple work streams running at a time to keep up momentum and create opportunity on multiple fronts.

• You are a self-starter by nature, ready and willing to jumpstart projects that need action with little supervision or support.

• You gain energy from seeking out, building and fostering relationships that lead to new and fruitful working relationships.

• You are passionate about SS+K's purpose and work, and believe that business development is mission-critical to the agency's ability to achieve its goals.

• Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multi-tasking in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication skills, both written and oral, and an excellent presentation

• Travel may be required periodically

Salary is dependent on experience but ranges from: $140,000 - $180,000. All candidates must have the ability to work in the US; we are unable to sponsor any work visas for this role.
