We have a new employment opportunity for a Business Development Director for a group of long-term care / skilled nursing facilities / nursing homes (LTC / SNF) in the Stockton, California area. Responsibilities include marketing, building census, enhancing community relations, managing marketing staff, and facilitating admissions in a skilled nursing environment.

We are searching for a Business Development Director candidate with prior experience as marketing for nursing homes and a working knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid/Managed Care admissions processes. Additional duties include building professional relationships with hospital discharge planners as well as community relations and census development activities.

The Marketing / Business Development Director will work closely with facility personnel to ensure an efficient and expedient referral and admissions process. The Marketing / Business Development Director will also conduct external sales and marketing calls in an effort to gain referrals and admissions. These include face-to-face marketing calls to case managers, social workers, discharge planners, physicians and other healthcare professionals.

Marketing / Business Development Director requirements:

Prior health care business development / census building experience in Nursing Homes / Long-Term Care (LTC) / Skilled Nursing Facilities (SNF)

Knowledge of health care regulations, eligibility, and reimbursement required

Must have census development / marketing experience within inpatient care facilities

Target accounts include hospitals, physicians, home health agencies, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, senior centers, hospice, and other senior related referral sources. * Achieve sales objectives for the Stockton market * Develop and maintain knowledge of the Live Well at Home brand. Effectively present Live Well at Home marketing materials and services to referral providers, including 1:1 meetings, as well as planning, arranging and conducting in-services and formal group presentations to referral providers. * Maintain accurate records of all sales and prospecting activities including sales calls; presentations; closed sales; and follow-up activities within the assigned territory, including the use of software to maintain accurate records to maximize territory potential. * Develop a database of qualified leads from referrals through face-to-face cold calling on referral providers, email, telephone and Web. * Conduct Service Inquiries and Care Consultations as needed following the consultative sales process * Work with discharge planners and families in offering Live Well at Home services and conducting care assessments and closing home care business Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: * Must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to listen effectively * Must have the ability to work independently, maintain confidentiality of information and meet deadlines * Must have the ability to demonstrate effective interpersonal skills is essential as well as sound judgment and good decision-making * Must demonstrate discretion, integrity and fair-mindedness consistent with company standards, practices, policies and procedures * Must have the ability to organize and prioritize daily, monthly, quarterly and yearly work * Must have the ability to establish good working relationships with office colleagues, clients and the community * Must present a professional appearance and demeanor * Must have the ability to operate office equipment * Must have computer skills and be proficient in Word and Excel * Must be able to work evenings or weekends as required * Ability to be on-call based on office rotation [usually 1 week/month] for inquiries and assessments Live Well At Home By Eskaton Stockton CA
