AAC Inc. announces the growth and expansion of our Federal Defense Group. To further support this continued growth, AAC seeks a Defense Business Development Manager who will be part of our core team working to grow AAC as a mid-tier enterprise IT services provider to the Federal government. In the assigned Defense accounts, individual must demonstrate ability to follow a well-developed process to consistently identify new business and new contacts, gather and analyze data from customer meetings and use this information, with online and partner sources to make effective account strategy and opportunity pursuits, and to support the proposal development process as appropriate to win.
With a focus on overall account ownership and management, own and grow your assigned accounts through the business lifecycle of contract start through and to organic growth and renewals.
Prospect for new Defense opportunities, be they contracts or task orders, and turn them into increased business through the acquisition life cycle.
Build teams and team based on gap analysis and synergy of capabilities.
Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities, at each stage of maturity, and follow the established process of bringing them to a winning position.
Research and build client relations within assigned accounts, both decision makers and supporting staff, as well as retain those relations that AAC supports, with new technologies and processes to enhance your existing baseline of business.
Work with AAC team to develop winning proposals.
Provide accurate and timely data, from weekly reports, reviews, and capture plans, to weekly CRM updates.
Forecast sales targets, track, and record activity on accounts to close deals.
Documented track record of winning new business according to business objectives.
Ability to develop and sustain prospective customer relationships, as well as internal working relations.
Use of effective business development processes to identify new federal opportunities and contacts.
Ability to advise customers and determine needs.
Organizational abilities combined with attention to detail.
Strong listening, verbal, and interpersonal skills, to include writing ability.
Passion to seek out or create new business opportunities in assigned accounts.
Bachelor's Degree, related technical preferred.
Five plus years of Federal government business development account experience.
Sales Force and GovWin experience a plus
