Job Description We are looking for an experienced Community Manager to lead our efforts to engage, grow, and empower our amazing Oracle User Group community. In this role, you’ll look after the program management, execution, and operations for key Oracle User Groups (OUG) with strong Oracle Database membership.

As the Community Manager, you’ll support OUGs to identify and secure top speakers and quality content plus coordinate other resources to run successful OUG events and activities. You’ll also support OUGs by connecting them with a variety of internal resources, including Oracle product managers. This new role will live in the Database Product Management group on our Community team.

It is highly cross-functional, requiring partnership with fellow program managers and colleagues in multiple groups like product development, marketing, Oracle University, and more. Responsibilities Champion for Oracle User Groups Act as an advocate for User Groups– be invested in their success. Analyze the strategies and plans of the user groups and execute the development of a User Group strategic plan that maps to Oracle Database priorities.

Define support processes and manage the development of tools to empower our OUGs to succeed. Cultivate a sense of trust, care, inclusiveness, and belonging in the OUG community Coordinate with regional field marketing, product marketing, and product management teams to provide optimal support to our OUGs Define a communication plan and manage the creation of any needed platforms. Monitor OUG community needs and devise solutions that match Oracle objectives and resources Represent the voice of our community in cross-departmental communications, sharing trends, pain points, and sentiments Cultivate relationships and meet regularly (virtually) with OUG key stakeholders to provide Oracle product information, speaker resources, training and certification benefits, in addition to evaluating and implementing new benefits.

Potential travel for in-person events in the future. What you should have 4-7 years of related community management experience building, managing, and scaling community programs, especially user-led or chapter programs Empathy, you understand community feedback and will put yourself in their mindset and make actionable decisions based on community objectives. Knowledge of online community platforms and technologies.

Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and analytical skills. Excellent project management skills. Strong collaboration, teamwork and critical thinking skills.

Demonstrated experience in a product marketing, program manager, or community manager role and interacting and growing a technical user community. You have worked with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Product Management, Education) to plan and execute community programs Strong interpersonal skills, ability to develop relationships and communicate with all levels of the organization and with outside groups You can manage deadlines and work collaboratively in a fast-paced, highly dynamic environment; highly organized, with the ability to work with multiple teams in different countries Maturity to prioritize and understand where to introduce new processes without slowing things down ‍A strong generalist, you can seamlessly shift gears between different working styles and regularly learn new processes Passionate about being a community and customer advocate with a willingness to go the extra mile to serve our user group members Experience at an enterprise software company is a plus Disclaimer: Certain US customer or client-facing roles may be required to comply with applicable requirements, such as immunization and occupational health mandates.

Range and benefit information provided in this posting are specific to the stated locations only Canada: Hiring Range from $88,100 to $192,000 CAD per annum US: Hiring Range: from $120,100 to $251,600 per annum.

May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle’s differing products, industries and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week.

Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation. 11 paid holidays Paid sick leave: 72 hours of paid sick leave upon date of hire. Refreshes each calendar year. Unused balance will carry over each year up to a maximum cap of 112 hours.
