In this role, you will be responsible for generating leads, advancing the sales process, and achieving/assisting in the achievement of opportunity-based sales quotas. You will actively participate in the planning and execution of company marketing activities providing vital input based on your interactions with prospects.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts.
Conduct research to identify leads and reach business targets through telephone, email, internet and in person.
Identify decision makers within targeted leads to begin sales process.
Collaborate with appropriate team members to determine necessary strategic sales approaches
Contacts, qualifies and sets appointments with targets via telephone and electronic means, including daily cold-calling activities via phone, email & LinkedIn..
Create and deliver qualified opportunities to other team members
Maintain and expand the company's database of prospects.
Ensure follow-up by passing leads to appropriate team members with calls-to-action, dates, complete profile information, sources, etc.
Set up and deliver sales presentation.
Assist in creating RFP responses to potential clients.
Where necessary, support marketing efforts such as trade shows, exhibits, and other events.
Make outbound follow-up calls to existing clients via telephone and email cross-sell and up-sell.
Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls and convert into sales.
Overcome objections of prospective customers.
Enter new customer data and update changes to existing accounts in the corporate database.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Business, or Marketing preferred
Minimum of three years of experience desired
Specific Knowledge, Skills, License, Certifications:
1+ year(s) industrial sales experience preferred.
1+ year(s) cold outreach / prospecting experience preferred.
Research experience is a plus with excellent communication, organization and follow-up skills.
Excellent sales and customer relationship skills.
Self-motivated, with high energy and an engaging level of enthusiasm.
Abilities to work independently, manage time wisely and prioritize tasks.
Strong computer skills (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Etc.)

Environmental Factors and/or Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.
