Genialis is rapidly expanding its business and strategic partnerships in the US and globally. To drive this growth, the company seeks a Business Development Associate. The Business Development Associate will report to the Head of Business Development and will support the commercial team in engaging biopharma, pharma and diagnostic companies to promote Genialis’ technology products, biomarker algorithms, and supporting service offerings.
This commercial role requires working knowledge of oncology, omics technologies and experience working with biopharma and biotechnology companies. This role demands a meaningful blend of lead generation, lead management, scientific content generation and dissemination. The candidate will have a track record of commercial success with a “roll up your sleeves” approach to support growth opportunities, new clients and accelerate traction in key market segments.

Responsibilities
- Support the commercial team’s mandate to grow Genialis’ product traction and revenue
- Support for new client acquisition and the expansion of existing clients:
- New lead generation, lead management and support to convert leads to opportunities
- Research market opportunities and customer needs
- Support the commercial team with go-to-market strategies across relevant market segments, and provide feedback for sales enablement assets
- Ability to support contracting process by liaising with other members of the Business Development and marketing team, external counsel, and other relevant stakeholders
- Support Manager of Strategic Partnerships in biomarker commercialization and data acquisition efforts
- Support product development
- Marketing content generation Attend relevant conferences, meetings, and industry events
- Research and compile competitive intelligence on existing and new competitors
- Develop and maintain relationships across professional and social networks and key connections in the life science industry
- Work within defined department-level and company-wide processes
Requirements
- Graduate degree in Life Sciences and/or Bachelor of Business Administration preferred
- 3+ years of relevant experience in an account role in the biotech/ pharma /diagnostic industries
- Strong knowledge of cancer biology and NGS methods
- Solid understanding of the biotechnology/pharmaceutical industries, including drug discovery and development, especially pertaining biomarkers, companion diagnostics, deployment of AI models as clinically predictive and commercially relevant tools
- Strong record of success in the biotechnology/ biopharma space, e.g. inside sales
- Marketing experience
- Demonstrable excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
- Familiarity with commonly used tools such as HubSpot (CRM), G Suite, Slack, etc.
