Responsibilities:

The Ground and Maritime Missile Defense business development analyst will support strategy and business growth initiatives for the Integrated Warfare Systems and Sensors organization. This customer-facing professional will act as part of the Aegis BMD BD team to implement strategic and tactical actions to position LM for growth in the missile defense market.

In doing so, the successful candidate will:

  • Serve as business development lead for IWSS's active Ground-based Midcourse Defense (GMD) Futures capture. In this role the successful candidate will join the core capture team responsible for customer engagements, definition of customer values and validation of those values. Candidate will also coordinate independent strategy events as well as internal milestone reviews.

  • Support and pursue strategies resulting in acquisition of Aegis Ashore sites, advancement of Aegis capabilities in new mission areas such as Layered Homeland Defense, development of advanced and next generation Aegis BMD capabilities, implementation of Aegis BMD in different form factors such as Aegis Expeditionary and virtualized instantiations, and acceleration and modernization of Aegis BMD ships to meet Missile Defense Review objectives.

  • Lead IWSS participation in business initiatives such as hypersonic defense, cruise missile defense, and integration of new effectors with the Aegis Weapon System.

  • Collaborate with E&T and Advanced Concepts organization supporting the development of 21st Century Warfighter solutions and transition efforts from internal investments to Program of Record.

  • Engage across MDA and Navy (PEO IWS, OPNAV) to cultivate relationships and develop Aegis BMD new business opportunities.

  • Build and maintain trusting and productive relationships with customers, influencers and key opinion leaders. Develop an understanding of Combatant Commander requirements and cultivate opportunities to address warfighter needs.

  • Manage Win Plan components, NBF resources, and Capture Team support for business development responsibilities.

  • Collaborate with IWSS Market Segments and various support functions to develop appropriate strategy, orders and investment plans and translate into actionable initiatives.

  • Interface regularly across the LM enterprise to achieve business goals - including but not limited to other RMS Lines of Business, other LM Business Areas, LM Government Affairs (LMGA), and the Corporate Engineering and Technology Office (CETO).

  • Provide timely and high-quality staff work, including but not limited to presentations, white papers, activity reports, meeting notes, call plans and trade show support.

  • Act as our external customers' advocate within LM.

Basic Qualifications

The successful applicant will demonstrate strong business development, program management and/or technical background

  • Business development, program management, or technical/engineering experience.

Knowledge of the Aegis and Aegis BMD architectures, functionalities and capabilities, and operational analysis

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to up-level information. Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations

  • Proclivity towards teaming and collaboration--must be a team player with excellent communication and presentation skills

  • Ability to thrive in a non-routine work environment and adapt well to changing conditions

  • Flexibility and availability to support non-standard meeting and travel requirements dictated by customer requirements

  • Availability to support travel as required and within safety guidelines

  • Active Secret clearance

Lockheed Martin values your skills, training This position will support in the management of the COMSEC account for the Lockheed Martin Rotary and Mission Systems facility at Moorestown, NJ, servicing the needs of multiple programs handling classified and sensitive information using secure voice and data networks. Essential Functions: ‒ Administer accountable COMSEC per NSA/CSS Policy Manual 3-16, and other Department of Defense issuances such as National Security Systems Instruction (CNSSI) and National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM). ‒ Use the National Security Agency required tool, Distributed INFOSEC Accounting System (DIAS), for maintaining COMSEC material control. ‒ Ensure tracking, transfer and destruction of Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI's) and COMSEC keying material, to include semiannual inventories. ‒ Accomplish physical accounting of all COMSEC and CCI, train, consult with, and assist users with keying material and equipment acquisition, installation, keying and maintenance according to the applicable doctrine. ‒ Administer and record COMSEC-required briefings. ‒ Obtain rulings, interpretations, and acceptable deviations for compliance with regulations from government agencies and NSA. ‒ Identify, investigate, document and report COMSEC incidents to proper authority. ‒ Support network operations of the NSA type 1 network encryption equipment through collaboration with IT staff. ‒ As needed, prepare operation manuals outlining COMSEC regulations, establish COMSEC procedures for handling, storing, keeping records, and for granting personnel access to COMSEC materials. ‒ Assist with implementation of Electronic Key Management System (EKMS) implementation. Manage classified material and multiple containers in the dedicated COMSEC work area, to include destruction of superseded keying material. ‒ Operate systems processing classified information related to COMSEC operations. ‒ Correspond with the National Security Agency as required, maintain the Defense Courier Service (DCS) account, and physically transport COMSEC materials to and from the DCS station approximately an hour's drive from the facility. ‒ Partner with internal organizations, external customers and cybersecurity teammates, and be prepared for an audit by the Defense Security Service or National Security Agency at all times. ‒ Maintain effective relationships with business leadership, functional counterparts at other facilities, government contracting activities, federal oversight and partnering agencies. ‒ Comply with all security policies and contractual requirements that apply to company and program operations. ‒ Interface with US Government representatives to address security concerns, requirements, compliance, etc. ‒ On occasion, work extended hours (other than normal business hours) to support contractual requirements to meet customer needs. ‒ Assist the facility ISSM in preparation and maintenance of security Assessment and Authorization documentation (e.g., IA SOP, SSP, RAR, SCTM) and compliance of the collateral cybersecurity program. ‒ Accomplish other duties as assigned.
