Description:The Business Development Analyst Senior Staff will support the Business Development organization and ultimately grow the Precision Fires (PF) Line of Business through managing BD responsibilities for the ATACMS and PrSM program activities and tasks. Responsibilities include:

Use strong communication skills to assess and build effective customer and industry partner relationships.

Develop growth strategies within existing and new customer organizations to further enhance BD area of responsibility.

Participate in white paper, proposal preparation and chart preparation.

Contribute to the New Business Acquisition Expense (NBAE) budget process.

Facilitate strategic thinking throughout the business to react quickly to the changing market environment

Support Lockheed Martin integration and improve strategic working relationships within the Line of Business and across Business Areas (BAs) and across and the corporation.

Basic Qualifications:

Ability to obtain a security clearance.

Track record of managing budgets larger than $2M with ability to operate across multiple functions to support BD organization goals.

Business acumen, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, reliability and sound judgment.

Strong strategic thinking, planning, management, and organizational skills to effectively execute BD area objectives.

Established and successful reputation and superior examples of developing internal and external customer relationships.

Diplomatic, persuasive and articulate communication style to establish and maintain rapport with internal and external management.

Participate in the business development process; includes opportunity identification, developing business cases, and capture management.

Passion for personal accountability, achievement, learning and continual improvement.

Ability to articulate complex issues into succinct, cohesive summaries and presentations.

Demonstrated ability to gather and communicate market intelligence in order to anticipate emerging trends within the Precision Fires domain and BD area of responsibility to hedge against competitor strategies.

Desired Skills:

Track record of successful shaping and winning new business in the defense sector.

Familiarity with Lockheed Martin.

Strong relationships within the Department of Army, United States Marine Corp (USMC) industry partners and competitors.

Demonstrated ability to generate and execute strategic solutions for existing markets.

Experience in business planning with strategic goals and identifying opportunities as part of the business development planning process to achieve goals.

Experience in developing business strategies for key opportunities by aligning with the capture planning processes.

Experience with PF portfolio products enabling technical understanding of products for creating mission solutions for customers and new business opportunities to expand/enhance product lines.

Experience and / or familiarity with the DoD Acquisition 5000 series framework, Joint Capabilities Integration and Development System (JCIDS) and Program, planning budget, execution (PPBE) processes to further enable customer and BA understanding for strategy implementation of the BD organization.

Overall, the group primarily leads, guides and formulates proposals for developing programs. This will require an individual to be self starting, have attention to detail and be adaptable / flexible to a constant changing and dynamic proposal environment. Responsibilities include: * Develop, plan and schedule proposals. * Compile cost, schedule, and technical elements in the development of proposals in accordance with request for proposal (RFP) specifications. * Coordinate the collection and accumulation of cost, scheduling, and performance elements from functional departments. * Research and analyze historical data, develops cost models to support proposal efforts. * Coordinate activities and participates in fact-finding meetings. * Participate in should-cost and pricing reviews with management and customer representatives. * Participate as a member of the contract negotiating team.
