Overview

The Business Development Analyst

  • CLS identifies financing opportunities, and recommends deal structures for commercial loans to automotive dealerships, including floorplan, real estate, term loans and revolving lines of credit. Duties will include daily interaction with key dealership personnel to determine financing needs and gauge dealership interest in programs. Duties may include cursory financial analysis for floorplan and loan acquisitions. Provide recommendations and supporting documentation and mitigate risk and increase floorplan and loan out standings.

Responsibilities

JOB DUTIES

  • Analyze financial statements of automotive dealerships and related customers including assessment of dealership risk.

  • Interface with customers and internal/external stakeholders to obtain data to complete analysis and ensure customer expectations are managed.

  • Prepare management summaries for senior leadership.

  • Structure and negotiate loan facilities with dealer customers.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

  • Reports to: Manager Business Development
  • CLS

Qualifications

Knowledge

  • Knowledge and understanding of automotive dealership operations preferred.

  • Proficient in intermediate MS Word and Excel applications.

  • Ability to adapt to change quickly.

Skills

  • Strong financial analysis and analytic/problem solving skills required.

  • High level of written and oral communication skills.

  • Detail oriented.

Experience

  • Two or more years of directly related experience in financial analysis required, experience in automotive dealership commercial lending environment.

  • Bachelor's Degree in related field.
