Job Summary:

The Business Developer- International will be responsible for developing new business through independent agents, producer networks, and brokers in Latin America. This role involves identifying potential partners, presenting value propositions, and establishing these partners as key revenue sources for the company. Additionally, the position will focus on identifying non-traditional distribution opportunities and attracting new distribution channels throughout the region.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Development:

  • Identify and approach potential partners, including independent agents, producer networks, and brokers.

  • Develop and present compelling value propositions to potential partners.

  • Establish new partners as key sources of company revenue.

  • Relationship Management:

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing partners.

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for partners, ensuring their needs are met and addressing any issues promptly.

  • Internal Collaboration:

  • Work with internal teams to ensure partners receive the necessary support, training, and marketing resources.

  • Collaborate with marketing, product development, and customer service teams to align strategies and support partner success.

  • Market Expansion:

  • Identify non-traditional distribution opportunities throughout Latin America.

  • Analyze market trends to identify key segments to approach and attract new distribution channels.

  • Performance Monitoring:

  • Establish performance metrics to track the effectiveness of business development strategies.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on partner performance and market expansion initiatives.

  • Training and Support:

  • Develop and deliver training programs to ensure partners are knowledgeable about company products and services.

  • Provide ongoing support to partners to help them achieve their sales targets.

Required Skill Set:

  • Business Development Expertise: Proven track record in business development within the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to develop and execute strategic plans to drive business growth and market expansion.

  • Relationship Building: Strong relationship management skills to establish and maintain partnerships.

  • Communication: Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey value propositions and engage partners.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills to assess market trends, identify opportunities, and measure performance.

  • Cultural Competence: Understanding of cultural nuances and business practices in Latin America.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. MBA is a plus.

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.

  • Experience working in Latin American markets is highly desirable.

  • Proficiency in Spanish and English; additional languages spoken in the region are a plus.

  • Willingness to travel within the region.
