As a(n) Business Coordinator you will:

  • Assist with accounting functions such as accounts receivables and payables, payroll and report preparation.

  • Maintain controls and records of financial transactions. May specialize in some phase of accounting work such as federal funds, account, payroll, etc.

  • Complex data entry work involving cost accounting procedures, correcting/adjusting and closing of journal entries.

  • May audit operating reports, vouchers, invoices, requisitions, purchase orders, and similar statements.

  • Responsible for processing of accounts payable and scanning of A/P, A/R, and month end close information.

  • Will assist finance staff in gathering information and responding to ad hoc requests.

  • Responsible for review and upload of expense entries during month end close.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Familiarity with Oracle Financials or other accounting software a plus.

  • 1 year of full time experience in accounting principles, practices, and procedures required.

Additional Information

Assists the Accounting Specialist and Business Services Manager. - Assist with Job Fair planning, execution, research and tracking- Marketing and outreach activities- Reconciling ITA payments

Business Development Officer Job Summary: The Business Development Officer (BDO) plays a key role in helping First Commerce expand the strategic market for the credit union by locating, developing, negotiating and closing new business relationships in conjunction with other staff. The BDO is responsible for acquiring and managing the credit union's relationship with key member companies in addition to selected industries and organizations within the community charter areas. The BDO coordinates events and promotions at company sites and within communities we serve to promote the credit union and enhance awareness of products and services. The BDO is expected to exert a high level of sales and service proficiency. This is a high-profile position that requires a sales and service champion who is a self-starting motivator with a positive demeanor and high energy. The BDO enjoys planning and participating in high profile events within the community and at our member companies. The BDO is expected to manage some evening and weekend events. This position includes a base salary and commission potential, based on results. Essential Duties: * Responsible for creation of measurable product and service lift measurable back to specific business development output. * Discover and leverage new business opportunities by building and managing a referral network and direct calling program. * Screen potential opportunities for the credit union by analyzing the business financial and industry condition. * Close new business by working and collaborating with the lending teams located in the Financial Centers and Business Services Departments. * Create strong partnerships with Six Pillars Financial, Business Services and Financial Centers to develop a strong referral resource network. * Stay up-to-date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations, etc. * Generate new leads and business relationships through cold calling, networking events and other sales channels and activities in order to capitalize effectively. Must be able to work independently and in a team environment. Will lead and/or assist in financial literacy presentations as needed and demonstrate potential to conduct presentations as necessary. * The BDO will coordinate and manage deliverables with external vendors as required. Desired Skills and Experience: * A wide degree of creativity is expected, as is the ability to use prior experience to set and meet goals. * Consistently professional dress and demeanor are expected. Responsible for ensuring all business development activities align with the strategic direction of the credit union and the business development departmental goals * Must demonstrate effectiveness by understanding products and services offered by First Commerce Credit Union to gain proficiency in answering questions and cross-sell appropriate products to contacts, members and potential members. Must fully utilize CRM database and all other software tools required to manage business relationships. * Public Speaking skills along with an ability to create and deliver presentations are a must. A. or B.S.
