What part will you play?

The Business Coordinator will primarily focus on providing a full range of administrative and operational support to the staff. You will be responsible for coordinating areas such as expense report approval, process invoices, onboarding new hires, order equipment, workspace move requests, calendar maintenance, catering, and work scheduling.

You will also provide executive support, arrange travel, schedule meetings, prepare expense reports, answer and screen calls, and maintain office supplies. This individual must be good at fostering relationships across departments and cities to provide seamless service for clients. You will be required to liaise with business partners such as Technology Services and Human Resources.

What do we need from you?

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred.

  • 3+ years of administrative support experience preferred.

  • Must be MS Office proficient: Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

  • High level of confidentiality required.

  • You should be extremely organized and work efficiently in a very fast paced environment.

  • Communication is key in this role so excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.

  • You should have excellent problem solving skills.

  • Strong attention to detail.

  • The ability to work independently as well as part of the team.

  • You should have an ability to prioritize your work so you can handle many projects simultaneously under tight deadline. Be flexible, dependable, and results-oriented.

The Field Production Supervisor guides day-of logistics, staffing, and data management for our DC-based field newsgathering team. This Supervisor ensures that CNN is able to maximize its use of resources in order to provide the best viewing and consumption experience for our consumers. What part will you play? * Operating as the main point of contact in the newsroom for remote field teams. * Maintain crucial applications for scheduling and tracking resources. * Make real-time decisions regarding coverage of news events. * Partner with other managers to fulfill coverage needs in the US and globally. * Daily scheduling of staff and resources. * Coordinating field resources on-site during remote productions. * Seek out business efficiencies and technology advancements. * Develop and shape best practices and SOPs. * A pivotal role in one of the most dynamic newsrooms in the media industry. What will you be doing? * Schedule photojournalists for assignments on a daily and long-term basis based on coverage needs across all platforms. * Maintain and update scheduling and time-reporting and scheduling tools to ensure accurate usage, allocation, and efficient use of resources. * On-site supervision of remote production coverage. * Oversight and tracking of field production assets used for newsgathering. * Assess and provide feedback regarding professional development of staff. * Liaise with business partners to ensure smooth and efficient collaboration in coverage execution. * Strategize to fulfill all travel and breaking news coverage needs in an efficient and logical manner. * Utilize and develop forward-thinking workflows. * Utilize local knowledge and industry contacts to fulfill coverage needs. What do we need from you? * Minimum 3 years' experience in broadcast news environment. * Experience with field production resources, logistics and scheduling * Competency with software applications such as Microsoft Office, ShowMgr, Slack, Concur. * Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced, newsroom. * Willingness to travel as needed. * Detail oriented, organized with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines. * Commitment to diversity. * Flexibility - this is a 24/7/365 business that will need your attention during non-business hours.
