Business Control Manager - Communication Surveillance, Global Markets

Job Description: Description: This job is responsible for leading and executing on internal control discipline and operational excellence within a Line of Business (LOB) or Enterprise Control Function (ECF). Key responsibilities include executing LOB or ECF processes and tools to drive adherence to enterprise-wide standards.

Job expectations include supporting the implementation of quality assurance and quality control processes within the LOB or ECF through ongoing monitoring and testing of controls, identifying issues and control improvements for remediation, and building out actions plans and milestones. The candidate will join the GM Communications Review Group, supporting varied operational aspects of the Business Controls infrastructure. Candidate must be able to thrive in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment with the following responsibilities:

Leads the assessment of the design and effectiveness of the risk and control environment to support Client Operational Services and ensure adherence to enterprise-wide standards Manages and reviews all operations front line unit responses for regulatory exams, internal audits, and other monitoring and inspection reviews Ensures accuracy of data and that relevant information is captured for inspection metrics to support governance for dashboard reporting Support multiple “Risk and Control Programs” across GM in partnership with Program Manager Requirements: Must be detail oriented (e.g. track multiple action items in detail and work across multiple projects) Expert in data analytics, manipulation, aggregation, integration, and reporting Excellent critical thinking/problem solving skills. Must be able to understand a process from end-to-end, be able to identify weaknesses in the process and identify/implement solutions, be able to challenge others on the facts of the process Excellent verbal and written communication skills with ability to simplify complex information into messages targeted to various levels of leadership as well accurately interpret communications from Business Controls Officers, Supervisors, GCOR, Audit, etc.
