Minimum three (3) years of relevant work experience.

  • Bachelor's degree, OR four (4) years of experience in a directly related field.

  • High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required. Certification as an Associate Business Continuity Professional (ABCP) or in the process of obtaining certification.

Assist Business Continuity Manager with coordinating all core BCP activities in an assigned geographical area, and serving as the catalyst to ensure the BCP activities are carried out by the most effective and efficient means possible.

  • Responsible for collecting and analyzing all pertinent BCP data and information.

  • Responsible for writing business impact analysis reports client personnel on Business Continuity Management issues, guidelines, & procedures. Responsible for maintaining the business continuity plans and providing education to leadership, management, department administrators and line staff, as appropriate, as to the content of the plan, how to effectively use the plan, and participate in the plan review and update.

  • Works closely with the BCM Manager in ensuring all the overall program goals are being achieved.

  • Responsible for ensuring all established BCP performance measures are being met or exceeded

VIEW JOBS 11/18/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-02-16T00:00 Function: Business Continuity Management Division/Department: Corporate Security Business Job Title: Project Manager Reports to: Principal Business Continuity Manager Corporate Security Work Location: South San Francisco The role exists in part because of our need to proactively plan to mitigate risks associated with a disruption of operations. A disruption of operations poses a significant risk to our patients, brands and reputation. The position will manage various important projects (BCM data base, mass notification system and the satellite phone program) for the Business Continuity team. The position will also work closely with the Emergency Management team in developing activities in support of Roche's incident management initiatives on a global basis. The project manager will help support and implement Roche's Global Business Continuity Management Program within Genentech. This includes performing business impact assessments (BIA), assisting in business continuity plan (BCP) development, and coordinating BCP exercises. In addition, the position will act as a consultant to internal business stakeholders throughout the organization to lend business continuity subject matter expertise and support. The position is part of a cross functional team that performs incident management activities including but not limited to: tracking budget and project-related tasks, assisting in the development and implementation of related change management strategies as well as regularly communicates project status with key stakeholders. On a quarterly basis, the project manager will present relevant findings and updates to senior leadership. The position will also develop strategies, tactics and plans with the Principal Business Continuity Manager, in order to create and maintain viable business continuity solutions. REQUIREMENTS: * Prior experience in creating and maintaining business continuity plans is required. * Disaster Recovery Institute (DRI) Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP) certification is preferred. * Experience in BCM practices and protocols, including in-depth knowledge of domestic and international BCM standards (NFPA 1600, BCI and ISO,) is preferred. * Familiarity with emergency and crisis management practices is desired. * Outstanding oral and written communication skills as well as experience in making presentations to large groups. * Ability to make decisions and be accountable in a fast-paced environment. * Ability to work under pressure, prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to collaborate and interact effectively with people at all levels in an organization * Bachelor's degree required. #LI_CG NF1 Genentech South San Francisco CA
