Preferred Qualifications:
BC/DR certification such as Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
Certifications in the areas of Information Security/Systems
Understanding of crisis operations, risk management and crisis communication.
Advanced degree in business, information security or related master level degree
Experience in banking/insurance/financial services
Sharepoint and Catalyst knowledge helpful.
Education:
Four-year college degree such as a Business, Information Technology or other equivalent relevant degree
Experience:
Five or more years leading and implementing business continuity / disaster recovery programs
Five or more years of experience working cross functionally across a medium to large size organization
Two or more years of project management experience
Knowledge and Skills:
Solid understanding of business continuity program elements and requirements and standards including ISO 22310 and FFEIC.
Experience with recovery gap assessments, development of short-term and long-term disaster recovery strategies on a broad-scale (enterprise, multi-business unit or regional), requirements analysis (BIA/RA), policies, frameworks/templates, testing (simulation and tabletop BC/DR), training, and reporting/compliance.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage tactical (daily) operations and participate in development of strategic program plans.
Development and leadership of high impact projects and programs.
Demonstrated ability to formulate strategies, alternatives and recommendations.
Results-oriented person with strong delivery focus who can work independently and collaboratively.
Demonstrated ability to lead projects to completion through effective communication and relationship building.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Primary Duties and

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include:
Managing the Enterprise Business Continuity (BC) Program
Enhancing the companys Business Continuity (BC) program, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and providing adequate coverage to the organization.
Developing policies and procedures that provide consistent and strategic BC direction and oversight for varied programs, and can be audited broadly for compliance.
Developing training related to BC planning, and training BC coordinators to act as liaisons supporting their respective business groups.
Providing expert consultative guidance to leadership and the business on BC matters.
Serving as escalation point for BC related matters not resolved by the BC liaison or BC coordinator.
Providing regular reporting on the status of the BC program to leadership.
Conducting Business Continuity planning, assessment, analysis, reporting, testing, and follow-up for enterprise stakeholders.
Creating and implementing an enhanced critical vendor BC review process.
Enhancing BC/DR programs assuring that key business operations can be conducted and resumed in face of or following interruptive events.
Enhancing BC/DR processes and programs that identify and mitigate likely threats or risks to key business operations and resources (people, property, and systems), as well as key internal and external dependencies.
Developing collaborative BC/DR strategies, plans and exercises that continually improve the resiliency of the enterprise.
Working with BC/DR vendors and leverages third-party resiliency services to augment internal capacities where appropriate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities (details of the basic job functions): Responsible for supporting the organization's business continuity and policy governance functions: Business Continuity (BC): * Supports the Manager, Business Continuity by ensuring that entity plans and recovery procedures are up-to-date * Conducts Business Continuity reviews of critical suppliers in accordance with established procedures * Delivers Business Continuity training as requested * Provides procedural and operational information to leadership and the business on routine BC matters * Provides regular reporting on the status of the BC program. Includes status of recovery procedures and supplier reviews.… * Conducts basic Business Continuity planning, assessment, analysis, reporting, testing, and follow-up for enterprise stakeholders. * Perform other duties as requested. Policy Governance: * Schedule, coordinate, prepare, and facilitate CPGC meetings, including maintaining the CPGC charter, procedures, minutes and materials * Coordinates the Corporate Policy Governance Committee (CPGC) activities for renewing policies. Includes identification of policies that are due to renew and scheduling their review in a timely manner. Ensures smooth process for all policy reviews, and facilitating the voting for proposed policies. Provides recommendations to policy owners on appropriate policy language based on existing templates/guidelines and assist with benchmarking as needed Supervisory Responsibilities (briefly describe, if applicable, or indicate None): None Preferred Qualifications: Education: Business Continuity or Six Sigma certification(s) Experience: * Experience with policy development or management * Insurance and/or financial industry experience Knowledge and Skills: * Highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Sharepoint Work Environment: Works in a temperature-controlled office environment.
