Summary of This Role
The Business Continuity Consultant will work with, and provide assistance to, the Director of Enterprise Risk Management in executing the Business Continuity Management Program. The role duties are to carry out and execute the programs and processes for identifying, assessing, monitoring, aggregating, and reporting key product, services, regulatory and technology risks and related information.
Minimum 8+ years' experience of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery focused on the Recovery of Technology.
What Part Will You Play?
Must have advanced skills and knowledge in the business continuity discipline involving the integration of theory and principles within the Global Payments BCM practices and procedures and, contributes to the development of guidelines/policies/procedures to provide a second line of defense (critical challenge)
As a consultant develop and refine the existing business continuity strategies to meet current regulatory and industry best practice
Design, implement and improve cross-functional programs that enables the recovery of critical business functions and systems
Supports planning and prioritization for critical processes/ systems recovery through logical process mapping and business concurrence
Schedule and coordinate recovery exercises for systems, incident management, call trees and tabletop and increase in complexity overtime, and identify any potential gaps/issues
Responsible for identification of risks, tracking of remediation through closure, and escalating issues as needed
Oversee the creation of facilities and application level recovery plans which include strategies for for key dependencies and third parties
Researches and implements strategies and procedures for the effective response to incidents and the resumption of critical business operations and deliver incident management, business continuity/disaster recovery, exercise, and issue training and awareness
Lead vendor reviews as a Business Resiliency Subject Matter Expert (SME) and delivers reporting on findings in a timely manner
Monitor and escalate Corporate Incident Management inbox and tracks events, incidents, and crises that may impact the Global Payments
Gathering and/or execute audit/documentation for meeting with Federal Examiners, internal and external auditors, and clients
Independently leads complex projects (i.e new integration) and finds solutions to problems and issues, while setting priorities and providing regular project status updates. Able to communicate outcomes to all level of management
Administer and complete complex tasks such as data gathering or manipulation, system or process creation and implementation
Participate in the review of technology resiliency (design architecture) changes (new/existing) to ensure compliance with Technical Resiliency Standard
Able to assist in mapping end-to-end service processes and identify Single Point of Failure (critical thinking)
What Are We Looking For in This Role?
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree Major in Business Administration, Business Continuity Management, Information Technology, other majors considered
Minimum 8+ years' experience of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
Preferred Qualifications
Background in Business Continuity, Information Technology and Payments Industry
Ideally Certified to Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery Practitioner
