Position: Business Continuity Consultant- CONTRACT

Status: Contract 5 months + possible extension
Hourly rate: $75 - $85/ hour 1099 or Corp-to-Corp basis

Business Continuity/ Crisis Management expertise.
Company's Business Continuity Management Program Office is seeking a short term contractor to support various program sustainment activities. The Business Continuity Consultant reports to the Associate Director, IT within the IT Program Management Office (PMO) group based in Foster City, California. This person is responsible for supporting Business Continuity (BC) and Crisis Management (CM) plan owners across Company functions in Foster City and at affiliates and sites in Europe and Asia with plan creation and maintenance. Effective partnership and teamwork with business partners, proactive mindset, and strong written and verbal communication skills are key success factors for this position.
The Business Continuity Consultant is responsible for supporting the maintenance and enhancements of BC and CM plans for Company sites worldwide. This role also involves but is not limited to:
Provide end-user support for the Fusion Risk Management and Everbridge tools
Maintain the plan data in the Fusion RM tool and perform light system administration
Maintain groups and notification templates in the Everbridge crisis notification system
Provide business analysis and contribute to continuous improvement projects
Coordinate with site / business functions to perform Business Continuity Program activities such as Business Impact Analysis (BIA) to identify and document recovery requirements for commercial affiliates worldwide
Coordinate with site / business function to ensure that recovery strategies and BC Plans are developed and tested
Develop BC Plan testing and exercising materials
Monitor, and gather data to show achievement of key Business Continuity Program performance indicators (KPI) targets in order to report accomplishments and gaps to management
Collect documented evidence of compliance, e.g., exercise dates and outcomes, to ensure the BC Program is audit ready
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
Coordinate the maintenance of BC and CM plan data in Fusion RM for Company locations worldwide
Perform high level data analytics
Support creation and running of standard, or ad-hoc, reports
Experience & Education:
Ability to manage simultaneous competing priorities
Ability to work in a fast paced environment where changing directions happen frequently
Self-motivated, proactive, independent and responsive
Knowledge of business impact analysis, risk management, business process recovery planning, crisis management and disaster recovery planning processes is helpful
Proficient in MS-Office Suite
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication, presentation, facilitation and diplomacy skills
High level of personal integrity consistent with Companys core values
Experience with business continuity databases and automated notification systems (e.g. Fusion Risk Management)
Knowledge of BC and CM technologies and processes for continuous improvement opportunities
Pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry experience preferred
Bachelor of Science degree (or international equivalent) in computer science, information systems management, or equivalent
Certifications highly desired (MBCP, CBCP, ABCP, CRISC, etc.)
