Business Continuity And Operational Resilience Lead, UBS Bank USA

Your role

Does planning for the unexpected excite you? Are you comfortable operating in a regulatory environment that expects high standards for business continuity, operational resilience and resolution planning?

We're looking for a subject matter expert to join UBS Bank USA and drive our efforts to ensure our business continuity, operational resilience and resolution practices are consistent with regulatory and industry standards. The ideal candidate has experience with recovery strategy and requirements, risk assessments, business impact analyses, testing, crisis and incident response at a national bank with payment clearing capabilities. The BC&OR Lead will have experience with maintaining our framework, procedures, governance and controls.

Key responsibilities include:

• coordinate and maintain the Bank's comprehensive Business Continuity Planning Program, which at a minimum meets regulatory standards to ensure the Bank's ability to recover and restore services in the event of an unforeseen disruption to facilities, technology systems, application, or business processes
• lead the business functional units in the development or enhancement of their respective BCPs, including but not limited to: Performing BIA (Business Impact Analysis) and Risk Assessments. Identifying critical, time-sensitive functions, and gathering recovery requirements. Identifying recovery strategies, assigning remediation action plans, designing and coordinating BCP exercises
• prepare governance presentations and documentation
• collaborate with technology, regional and global BC&OR teams to integrate the Bank's disaster response planning into the broader BCOR process
• ensure compliance with Operational Risk regulations and guidelines
• align existing and upcoming BC&OR framework and governance to FDIC/OCC minimum requirements for business continuity, operational resilience and resolution planning

Your expertise

You have:

• a minimum of 7 years of experience in business continuity planning and/or operational resilience, at a national bank
• a strategic mindset with demonstrated experience in implementing governance frameworks and driving continuous improvement
• proven experience implementing business continuity best practices, plans, exercises, and disaster recovery tests
• proven technical experience working with IT teams and operational areas
• experience in management a BCP tool a plus
• the ability to research, assess, control and manage a variety or risks
• project management skills: plans, organizes, motivates, and controls resources to achieve project objectives while accounting for constraints
• decision making skills: objectively considers input from appropriate sources; Considers implications of actions on other areas, functions, and processes during decision making
• bachelor's degree in a business or IT field
