Business Banker Opportunity Overview

As a Business Banker at Banner Bank you will be part of a high performing, dynamic team of bankers that proactively develop new client relationships with small to mid-sized businesses. You will play a vital role in the acquisition of new deposits, loans, and fee income. With Banner Bank's "super community bank" business model, Business Bankers are enabled to leverage outcomes by providing comprehensive financial solutions for prospects and clients. A significant portion of the Business Bankers time will be dedicated toward outbound calling, cultivating centers of influence, and establishing strong internal and external partnerships to assist in building our brand within the markets served.

As a Business Banker for Banner Bank you will have the opportunity to:

  • Develop and implement a business plan to cultivate new client accounts though outbound prospecting techniques within the business community

  • Become well versed in Banner Bank's products and services

  • Analyze the prospect or clients financial condition and recommend financial solutions to best meet their needs

  • Meet and exceed revenue targets established by the Bank

  • Keep abreast of changing business and industry trends that impact the Business Banking segment and translate those trends into business opportunities

  • Be the face of Banner Bank and take an appropriate leadership role both within the community and the Bank.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Certifications

  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent experience in finance, business, or economics

Experience

  • 3 or more years proven business development experience in business banking, financial services, or business to business sales

  • Proven track record of attracting new business, enhancing existing relationships and surpassing sales goals

  • Able to assess and analyze financial conditions of prospects and clients and industry trends. Ability to understand and interpret financial statements and cash flow analysis

Preferred Skills

  • Strong Networking and relationship management skills

  • Strong presentation and negotiation skills

  • Working knowledge and understanding of cash management products and services

  • Knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to commercial lending

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skill and demonstrate leadership ability

Position Summary: The Personal Banker creates and manages a sales plan delineating optimal methods for achieving sales goals through interaction with clients, prospects, internal partners, and other external contacts and through engaging in events and other marketing activities.
