Summary:

The Business Architecture Domain Head is responsible for collaborating with business owners within Life & Annuity Operations to define, design, and deliver the business capabilities required to execute on our service strategy. This role partners with cross-functional business stakeholders to examine current state processes, identify pain points, define desired end state, perform gap analysis through lens of people, process and technology solutions. This position partners with IT Architecture and Project Management Office to design, deliver, and maintain the business and technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Planning: Collaborates with senior leadership of Life & Annuity Operations to define business goals and translate those into actionable initiatives. Partners with and actively communicates with key stake holders (e.g. IT, project management office, supplier partners, etc.) to ensure alignment of vision and expected business outcomes.

• Target Operating Model Design: Facilitates workshops with key stakeholders to design the target operating model that will deliver on the service strategy.

• Business Process Optimization: Analyzes and designs business processes to enhance customer experience, improve efficiency, and mitigate risk through process optimization and automation opportunities.

• Requirements Analysis: Oversees business stakeholders and analysts to define and document functional and non-functional requirements for business solutions.

• Technology Alignment: Collaborates with IT and supplier partners to ensure business processes align to enterprise architecture and technical solutions align to business objectives.

• Vendor and Partner Management: Cultivates relationships with external vendors and internal partners to develop and implement digital solutions.

• Project Oversight: Plans, executes, and monitors transformation projects. Proactively identifies and mitigates risk.

• Change Management: Supports change management efforts to ensure successful adoption of digital solutions.

• Performance Metrics: Establishes key performance indicators to measure success of business initiatives, regularly report progress and adjust as needed.

• Business Sustainability: Provides stewardship of business processes and technical solutions.

• Leader of Leaders: Builds and leads a high-performing team of professionals providing coaching and development opportunities.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Technology or related fields. Master's degree preferred.

• 10 + years of experience driving the delivery of medium to large scale transformations in financial services industry and preferably in Life & Annuity Operations.

• Enterprise view of the business with an understanding of strategy, operating models, business processes, business capabilities and enabling technology.

• Thought leader comfortable challenging status quo while turning strategy into reality.

• Deep analytical skills with the ability to assimilate disconnected documentation and visualizations and articulate their relevance to problem solving.

• Lead through influence across all levels of the organization in ambiguous, complex and evolving situations.

• Build trusted relationships with stakeholders, supplier partners and internal partners.

• Manage employee performance and develop team members.

• Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills.

• Recognize and mitigate dependencies and risks.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Proficiency in project management methodologies is preferred

The base compensation range represents the low and high end of the range for this position. Actual compensation will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to qualifications, skills, competencies, location, and experience. The range listed is just one component of our total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include an annual bonus, quarterly bonuses, commissions, and other long-term incentive compensation, depending on the position.
