Job Summary

Job Summary

This position provides programmatic and administrative support for RCTC's Business and Workforce Education department. This position is responsible for the facilitating of business processes related to program offerings, business functions, workflow and communication, data and analysis and reporting. The position will provide direction for the operational staff and provide data and recommendations for professional staff and leadership in decision making to meet established strategic priorities. This position requires professional special skills to conduct and continually improve work processes with awareness of impacts on the internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in operational responsibilities and programming for the department of Business and Workforce Education, including working with sales and program coordinators to provide operational, logistical and business office support for complex programming.

  • Serve as a liaison between departmental leadership, college administration, faculty, staff, customers and the community to determine best operational and business decisions.

  • Manage processes and documentation associated with the Business and Workforce Education.

  • Utilize technology tools and protocols including ISRI, rST, Salesforce SharePoint, etc. to manage course scheduling, registration and business operations.

  • Facilitate records management related to course curriculum and scheduling to comply with institution and system policies.

  • Work with other department staff to evaluate and recommend process improvements to customer satisfaction and institution effectiveness.

  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure the smooth functioning of the department and maintain the reputation of the organization as a viable business partner.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree in business, information technology or a related field and at least (2) years of experience utilizing data and creating reports; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience utilizing multiple types of technology and software.

  • Excellent organizational skills to sufficiently manage multiple priorities and effectively carry out complex oral and written instructions with minimum supervision.

  • Accounting/budget skills sufficient to: Familiarity with budgeting process and monthly expense reporting, and accurately track and record budget transactions, payment of invoices, and expense vouchers.

  • Experience constructing, drafting, editing, and maintaining business contracts.

  • Knowledge and skill using spreadsheet and database software, such as Microsoft Word Excel, rST, SalesForce, sufficient to create and modify spreadsheets and databases, enter and update correct data, create ad-hoc reports, queries and export data, use formulas and develop and run queries from a variety of sources.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Business, Data Analytics, or similar field

  • Ability to work with and maintain highly confidential information in a professional manner.

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret data to integrate into meaningful responses and reports.

  • Three years' experience working in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously with increasing responsibilities.

  • Knowledge and understanding of the college's organization, goals, policies and procedures.

Additional Requirements

In accordance with the Minnesota State Vehicle Fleet Safety Program, employees driving on college/university business who use a rental or state vehicle shall be required to conform to Minnesota State's vehicle use criteria and consent to a Motor Vehicle Records check.
