We are looking for a Business Analytics Lead who is intellectually curious, collaborative, adaptable, and analytically strategic to join us in our Business Analytics team, based in Atlanta, Georgia, United States. This is a hybrid role that requires two in office work days every week. Role may require up to 10% travel to existing UCB sites.
About the Role
The Business Analytics Lead operates as an internal strategic consultant and analytics/reporting expert in support of UCB's US commercial activities, focusing on the neurology and rare disease market. The Business Analytics Specialist is responsible for the management, generation, interpretation and communication of data to guide leaders on driving revenue through sales force efforts.
Who you'll work with
You will work with executive teams and leadership in Marketing, Sales, Operations Management, as well as US Home Office and Field Leadership teams. Externally, you will work with consultants/vendors in delivery of the Business Analytics remit.
What you'll do
Responsible for becoming knowledgeable on opportunities and challenges related to the Neurology Business Unit
Leads analytical support for Neurology Patient Value Unit in identifying business opportunities and assessment of performance
The Business Analytics Specialist has active involvement in the sales and marketing strategic planning process
Develop and implement a standardized process for taking and fulfilling analytical requests from key stakeholders while identifying a prioritization process to help manage the requests
Collaborate with the business unit to develop reports efficiently and effectively to meet information needs of sales, marketing, and operations management
Identify opportunities to develop standardized reports/tools for repeated ad hoc analytical requests. Act as the liaison between the Neurology Patient Value Unit and Rare Disease Organization and IT to ensure the business requirements are implemented
Oversee the management of the data investigations to ensure the integrity of the information
Interested? For this role we're looking for the following education, experience and skills
5+ years of experience working in an advanced analyst role preferred
Demonstrated experience using advanced Excel features and techniques
Demonstrated experience in analysis and presentation of data to senior levels of an organization
High Proficiency in MS Office tools to include: Project, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook
Familiarity with analytical tools such as Python, R, Qlik and Tableau
Background in working with Pharmaceutical prescription data, related information delivery, and data standards experience
Background in data investigations within a pharmaceutical data environment
Experience working with longitudinal patient level data for treatment and patient flow analysis
Experience in statistical techniques such as linear regression, logistic regression, decision tree, machine learning methods and time series forecasting techniques such as ARIMA, exponential smoothing
