General Description:

Reporting to the Awards and Recognition Senior Manager, the Business Analytics and Diversity Data Manager leads a team of marketing analysts overseeing the firm's diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) data for publication, directory, client diversity, government, and media surveys as well as accolade submissions. This position is responsible for coordinating with HR, DEI, RFP, Business Services, and other teams supporting internal/external firm data and knowledge management needs. Successful candidates must exercise leadership competencies, independent judgment, and technical competency.

Key Responsibilities and Essential Job Functions:

  • Manage a team of survey data professionals responsible for collecting, reviewing, maintaining, and reporting on firm accounting and human resource information.

  • Manage and coordinate the survey submission process for firmwide industry, publication directory and client surveys.

  • Provide firm data and internal statistics for various submissions, including RFPs, directories, awards, and publications, working closely with DEI, Business Development, and Marketing teams.

  • Manage timely submission of Government Surveys in partnership with firm leadership.

  • Plan, update and implement strategic Survey team processes and best practices, collaborating with Marketing and DEI teams.

  • Facilitate the collection and currency of firm data for client and industry diversity surveys, ensuring quality control and consistency.

  • Maintain strict data confidentiality while verifying data sets using accounting, client matter, and human resource information.

  • Assist in building and populating firm submissions database(s) and provide knowledge management support.

  • Focus on improving workflow efficiencies through technology, data tools and knowledge creation.

  • Develop and update training materials for Survey team, including show sheets, training manuals, and documentation.

  • Support improved reporting of submissions through development of dynamic dashboards and reporting using Microsoft PowerBI.

  • Collaborate with various teams to centralize and provide easy access to data ensuring compliance with privacy guidelines and best practices.

Required Skills:

  • Critical evaluation skills, including a demonstrated ability to assess the credibility, currency, and validity of information sources.

  • Expert time management including prioritization towards team and organizational goals.

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite

  • Experience with web-based database resources

  • Familiarity with APIs and data visualization tools

  • Experience editing information in SharePoint, ServiceNow, or similar.

  • Strong diligence with high level of accuracy in data entry

  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, collaborative work environment and apply new technologies and workflows.

Required Qualifications & Education:

  • This job requires a bachelor's degree in business, data science, information management, information science or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 7-10 years of progressively responsible experience in marketing, corporate or DEI data experience

  • Minimum of 7-10 years legal, corporate, or industry data management or survey submission management required.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze and report on large data sets, with the ability to synthesize large quantities of data and to express complex concepts in a concise, business format.

  • Demonstrated ability to think strategically, plan efficient processes, and implement best practices.

  • Understanding of and demonstrated engagement in supervisory best practices including, fostering leadership qualities and teamwork, as well as clearly communicating expectations and goals.

  • Commitment to strong service values with demonstrated ability to exhibit sound professional judgment, discretion, strategic thinking, independent problem solving, and accountability.

  • Experience with benchmarking and data analysis, with a commitment to using data actionably in scoping opportunities and identifying solutions.

  • Team-minded and diplomatic, with a history of mentorship and knowledge sharing

Preferred Qualifications & Education:

  • Experience in a law firm setting or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 2 years management or leadership experience preferred, as demonstrated through leadership or project management roles or outcomes.

  • Relevant survey submission experience, preferably in a professional services environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Moderate or advanced keyboard usage

In accordance with the New York State Pay Transparency Law and New York City Human Rights Law, the pay range in New York State is $92,700k - $166,900k/yr and in New York City is $111,300k - $166,900k/yr.
