Position will work within the WFS Land division to provide visual, predictive and advanced analytic's and data as well as business analysis to key business stakeholders. The analyst will have responsibility for covering a business area, developing a deep understanding of the commercial economics of the Line-of-Sight and to work with commercial partners in developing solutions using data that provide value to WFS thru revenue and/or margin growth. The business analyst will drive process changes throughout the Land division and be a change agent in the use of analytic's to provide deeper insight into business performance and future operations. The role will also assist in managing the direction and use of analytic technologies on an ongoing basis and develop KPI's to measure operational performance and business efficiency. Key responsibilities will include:
Work with stakeholders to understand data needs, business performance metrics and build and maintain visual analytic tools for key stakeholders
Identify internal and external data sources to help answer questions to business issues
Organize WFS data and assist the Data Warehouse / BI group in maintaining the WFS data warehouse data quality and completeness
Provide thought leadership on the design of visual analytics used to support business operations
Engage stakeholders and drive analytics adoption across the firm
Train and education business users on technology capabilities and the use of Tableau and Alteryx
Conduct adhoc analysis on specific business challenges leveraging data and WFS technologies
BA/BS Degree in Operations Research, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Predictive Analytics, Business Analytics or the equivalent
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of MS Excel
Intermediate to advanced knowledge of SQL
Experience using Tableau and Alteryx (or equivalent), highly desirable
Knowledge of Python or R highly desirable
Experience gathering and consolidating requirements from cross-functional groups. Ability to work under pressure and meet constantly changing timelines.
Strong attention to detail and excellent problem-solving skills
Strong verbal/written communication and data presentation skills, including an ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams
