Primary

Responsibilities:
Establish working relationship with key stakeholders and manage stakeholder expectations
Work with the team lead to establish stakeholder communication channels and prepare communication materials
Work with key stakeholders to analyze each investment groups research processes and system needs.
Document business processes and translate business needs into technology requirements.
Work with the team to evaluate solutions and make objective recommendations for process improvements.
Collaborate with the support team to analyze and resolve production system issues, take on ad hoc user requests, analyze data and generate reports.
Create and maintain a backlog of user requests and work with the team lead to prioritize work items

Qualifications:
Strong client service skills
Strong understanding of Investment Data and Investment Management industry
5 plus years of experience as a business analyst working in collaboration with software development in finance and investment domain.
Excellent communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively in both formal and informal contexts in a fashion tailored for the audience.
Ability to deliver under stress in a fast-paced environment
Strong process analysis and problem solving skills.
Able to work independently with minimal direction and guidance from manager.
Practical understanding of relational database design and thorough familiarity with SQL server programming using T-SQL.

Desired Skills:
Experience in fundamental research in investment management
Experience with Factset RMS (previously Code Red RMS)
Familiar with agile process and JIRA

VIEW JOBS 12/3/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-03T00:00 The Data Movement Business Analyst, Sr works with both technical and business groups to support an enterprise-level focus on data movement. The individual is responsible for analyzing the business and technology environment to understand and monitor data movement in order to increase transparency on what data is moving, where data travels to/from, for what purpose and whether appropriate controls are in place. The Analyst will be responsible for evaluating current processes to determine opportunities for improvement and as well as develop new reporting processes. S/He will work with Controllers and other key stakeholders to develop a model on the "cost" of data movement. The Systems Business Analyst applies effective project management skills and works closely with PMO teams in the areas of project planning, execution and reporting. Responsibilities : * Develop clear, concise methodology documents, which require proficiency in interviewing skills, workflow analysis and risk analysis * Develop, measure and report on Data Movement Program metrics * Identify opportunities to expand Data Movement Program capabilities and put plans in place to achieve objectives * Plan and participate in Data Movement Program awareness activities including: preparation of meeting agenda materials, presentations and written communications * Develop, maintain and promote adherence to best practices that support continued Program maturity * Review and assist in development of business case documentation, budget forecasting, project plans and project workflows as requested by Project Manager. * Collect project status updates (both within and outside of DM) for integration into overall Program tracking and reporting * Assist in the development and maintenance of a multi-year roadmap of initiatives to uphold the Program strategy * Interview SMEs within business and systems groups and conduct independent research to maintain an accurate current stae analysis of the data movement environment across all enterprise information assets * Develop processes to monitor and track data movement to increase transparency on what data is moving, to where and for what purpose * Research expenses associated to data movement and develop a model to inform the business lines of the "cost" to move data * Analyze existing technology inventories and capabilities and research alternative technology solutions/workflow processes in order to drive discussions and make recommendations for risk mitigation solutions * Assist in prioritization activities by analyzing and documenting risk drivers and current state in order to support recommendations to senior business and systems leaders * Define and document business systems requirements for projects that support the Data Loss Prevention Program or other Enterprise Data activities as needed * Provide oversight functions for professional services/consulting resources as required Qualifications : * BA/BS degree and/or related work experience. * 8+ years of Business Analyst experience including writing business systems requirements, preferably at a financial services company. * 3+ years of project administration work and project planning/management * Data Movement technologies experience a plus (FTP, eFax, SWIFT) * Experience building new analytics and reporting processes * Proficiency with project methodologies and project administration practices * Familiarity with budget planning and financial reporting/administration * Ability to analyze current workflows and identify opportunities for improvement. * Knowledge of all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle. * Familiarity with Systems Infrastructure * Familiarity with BI (Business Intelligence) and reporting tools * Strong written and oral communications skills * Skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously. * Ability to create presentations using software such as Microsoft PowerPoint. * Ability to use standard desktop tools effectively (Lotus Notes, Microsoft Office). #LI-POST We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, gender, national origin, age, genetic information, creed, marital status, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other protected status under federal, state or local law.
