The Business Analyst will be responsible for implementation, enhancement, and operational support of the Oracle Financial and Project modules. In this role, you will be expected to partner with finance subject matter experts and IT technical leads to understand business requirements and translate them into design solutions associated to ERP projects and enhancements. This position will report to the Manager of Finance Systems and focus on Oracle Financials and integrated applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:

In this role, you will:

  • Lead Finance ERP implementations for Oracle financial applications to include planning, configuration, testing, training, conversion strategies, on time rollouts for multiple modules

  • Contribute to ERP Strategy discussions for future direction of Oracle financial applications

  • Transition new implementation solutions to the operational support team

  • Communicate lessons learned post implementation

  • Work with IT leaders and module owners for prioritization of critical issues and work towards resolution

  • Own and be responsible for open ticket/cases reduction, RCAs and recurring issues reduction or automation

  • Learn and support customizations and interfaces of varying complexity, suggesting where possible to replace customization with vanilla Oracle processes of equal or greater functionality

  • Serve as domain and ERP expert and drive / be accountable for operational excellence as well as stabilization of Operations in financial subject matters

  • Act as single technical point of contact for escalations related to finance modules ensuring they get addressed appropriately with continuous communication

  • Support the IT organization and finance with month end close activities as related to finance modules and integrations

  • Responsible for planning and executing proactive measures to avoid/resolve month end close issues

  • Partner with module owners/technical leads and help carve out and lead mandatory compliance, productivity and business required initiatives going beyond day-to-day operations

  • Oversee the work of developers ensuring deliverables are high quality and implemented in a timely manner

  • Ensure changes related to finance implementations/projects go through proper testing and relevant documentation is created for future reference

  • Ensure conformance to generic ERP Operations support standards / practices

  • Coach / monitor contingent staff in ERP Operations support standards / practices

  • Responsible to interact with Oracle on SRs for application issue resolution or patching guidance and testing of patches

  • Familiar with Web ADI templates creation and maintenance

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or "STEM" Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Math)

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in an information systems design (development experience with implementation, customization, business analyst or technical analyst experience) implementation or operations

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience with financials suite of ERP module implementation including financials

  • Proficient in SQL, PL/SQL

  • Knowledge and familiarity in underlying ERP applications database architecture, as well as database and development tools, such as Oracle, SAP, Ariba,

  • Knowledge of Project and Software Development Life Cycle Methodologies Capable of planning and organizing work and processes in a continuously moving support model

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of finance processes and key ERP functionalities and configurations aligned to those processes

  • Ability to lead members of the development and support teams

  • Ability to create and execute test plans as well to create requirement and design documents

  • Ability to quickly identify and analyze technical risks and impacts; define alternatives to remove roadblocks

  • Ability to coach & train, motivate team to adopt standards & methodologies

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment coordinating with internal customers to help support and enhance business systems

  • Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills; PowerPoint, Excel, SmartSheet

  • Highly motivated, self-starter

  • Understanding of the key tables used by financek modules and how they are related

  • Understanding of module specific API's and ability to design, implement and support

  • Basic understanding of REST API

  • Experience with Oracle Financials Cloud platform is a plus

Work Environment:

  • The job is typically performed under comfortable working conditions; any disagreeable environmental elements are generally absent during normal performance of job

  • Occasional travel to manufacturing environments where exposure to outdoor elements such as precipitation and wind, noisy environments, and potentially hazardous condition. In these environments, employee must follow all applicable safety and PPE guidelines
