Job Description:
Information Technology Services (ITS), the central IT provider at the University at Albany, seeks applicants for a Business Analyst to support the academic, research, and business needs of this R1 institution. The Business Analyst is responsible for collaborating with stakeholders across the University and within ITS to identify and propose opportunities for innovation and business process improvements to enhance the student experience and maximize staff productivity.
The Business Analyst is a member of a team of IT professionals, responsible for the continuous innovation and improvement of services by analyzing and documenting business processes and providing recommendations for improvements that align with the University's strategic plan and business unit goals and objectives. They are responsible for the development of business process analysis standards and best practices.
Primary Responsibilities:
Document requirements and lead business process analysis activities to enhance operational efficiencies. Work closely with stakeholders and technical teams to align business processes with organizational goals. Coach peers and establish best practices for continuous business process analysis improvement.

Professional Rank and Salary Grade: SL-4, $85,000-$95,000
