Initial 6-month contract

The requirements & responsibilities for all aspects of this role include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Analyze, document and make recommendations for changes to existing or new business processes to senior management or external clients

  • Lead short and long-term projects

  • Serve as a liaison with vendors and the technology organization for issues of technology builds or technology support

  • Make decisions on behalf of the business for projects and issues

  • Investigate system related issues and identify solutions with internal teams and vendor

  • Lead the testing of new features/functions

  • Lead process redesign reviews and initiatives

  • May have responsibility for direct client contact

  • Travel possible ? maximum 10%

Day to day responsibilities include (but are not limited to)

  • Project support as assigned working with Project Managers in SME capacity to implement new project requests.

  • Analyze project requests or proposals and make recommendations for changes or enhancements to make more efficient or change to work more effectively with existing code.

  • For issues, initiatives, or process changes, maintain communication lines with all interested parties to keep them informed and to escalate appropriately

  • Work with new clients, technology, and internal teams to establish robust payment methods using industry standards (NACHA, EDI, etc.)

  • Assist clients by identifying and solving payment related issues (file formatting, missing/incorrect data) ? may include navigating TSYS (TS1), SAR reports, databases, and datasets

  • Work with global partners to evaluate best practices, implement global solutions, and provide support as needed

  • Collaborate with Commercial clients to develop and execute technical solutions that are aligned with business strategies

  • Managing a queue of 30+ technical integration projects concurrently

  • Work with internal teams to investigate customer data integrity issues and provide support for resolution if necessary

Industry Knowledge:

  • Have a developed working knowledge of the business and the upstream and downstream influences; understanding of the needs of the client
Technological Proficiency/

  • Develop business requirements for technology solutions, develop UAT scripts, perform testing, launch and train staff on internal system enhancements

  • Learn various aspects of existing systems and technology to help maintain compliance related updates and information related to systems

  • Understanding of payment processes and technology for US and Canada

  • Knowledge of file transmissions and protocols (SFTP, Secure NDM, triggers, etc.)

  • Knowledge of globally accepted transaction file formats (i.e. VCF, CDF, etc.)

Risk Management:

  • Understand and comply with all audit and control policies; Able to identify control gaps and implement new controls as necessary

Shared Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand and implement company values: Responsibility to our clients, to each other and to our franchise

  • Ability to work non-standard business hours as determined by the business needs

Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in relevant field

  • Proficient in Windows and MS Office Suite

  • Past experience interacting with corporate and government clients, senior management

  • Ability to ascertain the intricacies of complex system to system data mapping

  • 3 years minimum TSYS TS1/TS2 application knowledge and experience (preferred)

  • Knowledge of Mainframe transmission protocols (preferred)

  • Knowledge of accounting practices, such as ledger reconciliation and accounting string set up (preferred)

  • Experience interacting with expense management providers, i.e. Concur (preferred)

The incumbent is part of a team that implements a comprehensive development program that includes identifying, cultivating, soliciting and stewarding annual, major and planned gift donors and prospects for restricted and unrestricted needs in support of the organizations mission and values. The Business Analyst reports to the Director of Development Services and works closely with the Development team providing database support and analysis for the annual giving, major and planned giving, grant outreach, and event aspects of the corporate fundraising program. Ensuring Database Integrity and Training * Maintaining the data quality of the database, including implementing database cleaning strategies and processes in addition to training users to assist in maintaining a high quality and up-to-date database * Ensuring that system policies and procedures documentation is current and accessible * Developing and delivering targeted training to current and new users * Providing technical assistance and support for database systems Maintaining Efficient Database and Operations * Serving as the backup System Administrator, maintaining user access and permission levels for database segments, assisting in managing the donor database, including maintenance of database integrity, procedural recommendations, donor information updates, and system upgrades * Working to ensure the database and operations support the strategies of CHKD's development team – "translating" fundraising goals and plans into operations * Assisting in maintaining all ongoing evaluation of database systems and recommendations for improvements for greater efficiency * Working regularly with a broad range of internal partners including Marketing, Finance and Information Services to assist in managing third-party applications and integrations with other systems for on-line fundraising, peer-to-peer fundraising or general ledger; conducting all global changes and/or imports Supporting Production of Complex Reports/Analysis/Outputs * Assisting in the preparation of campaign development reports for hospital leadership * Creating standard and custom reports to provide financial and statistical reporting, ad hoc analysis, PowerPoint presentations and a wide variety of other reports and statistics as required * Using full reporting capabilities of the donor software system, Crystal reports and other tools to query beyond basic system capability * Developing and maintaining a system dashboard to allow for immediate and thorough analysis of campaign, annual giving solicitation and event results as well as major giving and planned giving programs * Providing enhanced reports and program management tools to increase revenue, productivity, better manage resources, and increase data integrity * Building queries and exports for complex mailing lists such as newsletters, direct mail appeals, and event invitations * Creating and maintaining mail merge acknowledgement letters for acknowledgement of gifts as well as pledge reminders and event invoices * Data selection, extraction, segmentation, program reporting and further donor analysis, p * Providing support related to donor lists for events, annual giving campaign, major donor prospects, and planned giving prospects Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: * Bachelor's degree in finance, information technology, or closely related discipline preferred; equivalent experience may substitute. * Demonstrated abilities to analyze current information systems and make enhancements to increase their effectiveness, * Must communicate clearly and concisely, both in written and verbal form * Ability to prepare and present system related reports and sound recommendations to all levels of management and user personnel. * Must be able to work independently and as a member of a team. * Demonstrated ability to operate a computer and related peripherals. * Must possess in-depth knowledge of automated systems and accounting/bookkeeping systems, Microsoft Office applications (Access, Excel, Word and PowerPoint), and SQL and Crystal report writers.
