About the Role

Total Wine & More is seeking a Business Analyst to join our Marketing Systems team in our Bethesda, MD office to support our Marketing and Personalization teams. Our team is currently supporting a significant initiative and transformation with the expansion of our marketing systems, including email marketing platforms and concierge program support. As a Business Analyst you will prepare test plans, write and execute test cases, and work collaboratively with business stakeholders to identify and improve testing coverage. You will develop a solid understanding of the Salesforce Service Cloud, Salesforce Marketing Cloud and of the Concierge Program from both an architecture and a functional point of view.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments, experience with manual and automation testing for in-store and mobile applications, evaluating test cases for inclusion in regression/automation, and developing tools to optimize test duration and quality. This position provides the successful candidate with an excellent opportunity to gain a breadth of experience and enjoy all the excitement of developing and delivering technical business solutions. You will report to the Senior Product Manager, Marketing Systems.

You will

  • Organize, develop, document, and maintain functional test cases and other test artifacts like test data and automated scripts.

  • Ability to write test plans, following and developing a formal test plan process.

  • Execute and evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.

  • Maintain the team's automation framework and build new test cases as needed.

  • Maintain the Smoke test suite.

  • Investigate and support Production related issues.

  • Document and design test cases to validate Production issues.

  • Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design specifications and requirements.

  • Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.

  • Execute load and performance tests using tools such as Dataloader.io, SF Inspector, and/or Postman and communicate results analysis.

  • Evaluate manual or automated test cases and report test results.

  • Maintain outstanding customer experience and ensure that we are collectively delivering a high-quality product.

  • Develop processes for high-quality product delivery, encouraging process automation and a culture of continuous improvement.

  • Work with vendors, Business Analysts, Product Owners, and development teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.

  • Demonstrate attention to detail, work well in a team environment, be highly motivated, and willing to learn new skills.

  • Play a key role in on-going product delivery and launches - hands-on execution of user acceptance testing. Help define ways to mitigate issues/risks to ensure on-time launches.

  • Participate in all Agile scrum ceremonies.

You will come with

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or related fields.

  • Experience as a Business Analyst/QA Testing Engineer using CRM tools for testing.

  • Experience with Salesforce Service Cloud. SFSC Admin cert is a plus.

  • Experience in Agile development (Kanban or Scrum) using Jira.

  • Experience with manual testing for CRM and Web applications. Experience with automation testing is a bonus.

  • Experience with the Retail environment, including Product Hierarchy and Promotions

  • Experience with quality assurance methodologies, automation frameworks, processes, and tools.

  • Good analytical/problem solving skills - ability to find bugs/defects quickly.

  • Experience with working with Concierge Retail business partners.

  • Understanding of software development; working with shorter release cycle/continuous delivery environment.

  • Strong Analytical skills with a problem-solving aptitude.

  • Must have the ability to follow established company protocol and communication guidelines and work well within a team-oriented environment as well as being able to work independently.

  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, the ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external customers/partners.

  • Experience managing software development/collaboration tools (JIRA, Confluence).

  • Demonstrated ability to learn new technologies quickly.
