Essential Skills
Provide research assistance and clarity of business demand specifications.
Bridge gap between business and IT ensuring common understanding and IT/Business alignment.
Coordinate the business subject matter experts' involvement in all aspects of the project.
Review, analyze, and evaluate business systems and user needs. Document requirements, define scope and objectives, and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.
Bring business acumen to the management of requirements (e.g. I understand what AMD is trying to achieve).
Beyond just capturing business requirements, tie requirements to decisions that need to be made and to strategic objectives, or corporate KPI's.
Build Use Cases around collected requirements and map into test scenarios. Transition requirements to test cases to provide traceability.
Analyze the results of system and integrated testing in conjunction with the business to ensure all business requirements are met. Conduct unit and integration tests.
Support conversion including data migration, and production cutover efforts.
Ensure proper user training is provided and support business users in timely issue resolution.

REQUIRED SKILLS

First-hand experience in business requirements gathering.

Strong analytical skills.

Ability to build and evaluate business cases for operational improvements and understand how technology can be leveraged to accelerate operational improvements.

Understands the larger, end to end business process that solutions fits into.

Willing to challenge requirements based on an understanding of prioritized objectives.

Demonstrate expertise in a variety of IT concepts, practices, and procedures.

Experience with ERP systems and Custom development solutions hosted on premise or in the Cloud.

May provide consultation on complex projects.

A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Good communication skills and global project experience.

Oracle Agile, Quality Management product functionality experience

Desirable Skills

SAP Supply Chain (SD/MM)

Quality - experience with EtQ or any other Quality package solution or Custom Development in the Quality space.

Engineering experience with Artifactory or other Engineering solutions. Domain space knowledge is more important than experience in specific solution

What we're looking for, in a nutshell: The Business Analyst will be the key liaison between the technical and business teams at Amherst Residential. This role focuses on providing technical solutions to business needs and will be involved in all phases of the SDLC from identifying the business problem, gathering and documenting the business requirements through the development, testing and implementation of software. This position will work closing with the internal development team and business stakeholders throughout the process. The right candidate will be comfortable wearing multiple hats: analyst, QA and project manager. The Business Analyst must be comfortable working on tight timelines with a cross functional team with minimal supervision. This position will report to the VP of Systems Analysis. A little more about this role: * Responsibilities will include gathering and documenting business requirements, writing formal project documentation, planning and performing user acceptance testing, and assisting with implementations. * Work as an integral part of a project team made up of business stakeholders, vendors and development resources responsible for planning, developing, testing and implementing technical solutions. * Work closely with end users to understand the business processes and identify and document the business needs. * Works closely with vendors and developers to understand how our systems work, to identify innovative solutions and to troubleshoot and resolve issues. * Provides post production support to end users following implementations as well as ongoing tier 2 support. * Assist with special projects as assigned by the VP of Systems Analysis. What you'll need to have: * 2-4 years of experience as a Business Analyst or Project Manager or a degree in a related field required. * Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred. * Experience with financial systems or property management software preferred. * Real estate or financial services background is a plus. * Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills. * Must be tech-savvy with the proven ability to understand and explain software. * Must be able to work both independently and with a team. * Must be comfortable working on tight timelines in a start-up like environment.
