As a Business Analyst at Summus, you will help drive the software development of the Summus platform by specifying and designing additional functionality and propose adjustments to the existing feature set. You will be responsible for the high quality delivery of all aspects of a given project, including creating and maintaining the design and project plan, managing communication with key stakeholders, facilitating meetings to solve problems and make decisions, and ensuring deliverables and timelines are met. In this role, you have the opportunity to closely collaborate with the organizations leaders and the operations, sales, and marketing teams. A background in healthcare is not required, but a desire to be part of our mission and excitement to innovate how specialty healthcare is delivered are essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Gain deep understanding of the Summus user types with respect to user experience, identify and fill functionality or user interface and experience gaps, and generate new ideas to user interface and experience to drive growth.
  • Create and oversee the development of product proposals and prototypes based on stakeholder requirements across departments.
  • Work closely with the engineering team to deliver timely, high-quality, and well-tested results.
  • Help external users and teammates solve challenges by sharing your product, design, and technical expertise.

Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in an Analytical or Social Sciences field, such as Engineering, Life Sciences, Math, or Operations Research, or Human-Computer Interaction.
  • At least 2-4 years of experience assisting engineers in building software in a product management or similar role.
  • Strong organizational skills and superb capabilities with managing multiple high priority projects simultaneously and successfully.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), with the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization (e.g. technical, business, executive).
  • Meticulous attention to detail and a resourceful problem-solving attitude.
  • Google Workspace, Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms.

Valuable, but not required:

  • Familiarity with user analysis and user testing analytics platforms such as Google Analytics and Posthog.
  • Familiarity with CRM software such as Salesforce.
  • Desire to learn, adopt, and enforce standards according to generally accepted practices in developing software for the healthcare market.
  • Proficiency with design and prototyping tools such as Figma, and Sketch.
  • Familiarity with and interest in relational database concepts.
  • Familiarity with software testing, documentation, and version control.
