The Business Analyst role in the Procurement to Pay Operations Group will be responsible for providing oversight of the Enterprise's purchasing, billing, transaction monitoring and customer service functions related to the Bank's COUPA Process to Pay system. Engages with stakeholders from all Business Lines; including IT, vendor software IT team, management, operations, sourcing, finance/accounting, program owners, support departments, and end users.

  • Will be a key contributor to the configuration and implementation of the Bank's Procure to Pay system understand, design and implement system enhancements and functional changes.

  • Address user support issues.

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of applications and stays current in technical enhancements, methodologies and trends related to the assigned application(s)

  • Analyzes existing systems or procedures and identifies technical or procedural improvements

  • Create Business Scope and Business Requirements documentation.

  • Create requisitions and purchase orders for internal Sourcing group and colleagues.

  • Develop procedures for implemented applications or new functionality.

  • Partner with Sourcing group to create efficient and effective process to drive spend into the Procure to Pay methodology

  • Develops operational procedures for products, services and systems. Leads the development of work processes, procedures and workflow.

  • Recommends policy changes to ensure compliance with Sourcing and Accounts Payable policies and practices, and/or to increase processing efficiency.

  • Develops and delivers training and guidance to ensure the effective deployment and use of procurement operations systems.

  • Assists in the definition of Procure to Pay Operations reporting requirements and design of reporting processes.

The position may assist with internal and external exams, as required. Position may encompass working on special projects that result from control testing, risk assessments, user feedback or management committee issues related to the system and/or other operational risk issues.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with 5+ years of experience, or High School diploma with 9 years of experience/education in a related field may be considered
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience with ERP, procurement and/or accounting systems
  • A minimum of 2 years in a sourcing, procurement, and/or buyer role

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior Experience with Coupa or other Procure to Pay web-based systems

  • Excellent analytical skills

  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team to resolve issues

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Ability to meet deadlines

  • Experience directing change initiatives

  • Knowledge of procurement principles, practices and techniques

  • Strong project and change management skills, supported by work experience.

  • Demonstrated critical conceptual and intellectual skills

  • Ability to use a systematic approach in solving problems through analysis and evaluation of alternative solutions

  • Intermediate level Excel (i.e. macros, pivot tables, vlookup) and/or Access (use functions, build queries).

  • Demonstrated ability to identify potential risks associated with a proposed business initiative and recommend alternative actions

Develops, monitors and distributes periodic reporting that details HNB Colleague Card spend, usage, collections, fraud/disputes, etc. * Works closely with HNB Sourcing and Legal on contractual changes/Amendments to vendor Agreements to change payment method to Card. * Completes daily administrative activities and oversight to support Card payments to HNB vendors including; answering vendor questions, reaching out to vendors to process cards, card maintenance, returns, and report creation/distribution. * Monitors Colleague compliance with Huntington policy as related to the use of commercial cards. Identifies the need for updates to HNB Commercial Card policies/procedures and revises policies/procedures for review and approval. Escalates issues to management as necessary. Works with Product Management and Accounts Payable to assist and deliver roadmap items specific to the HNB Commercial Card use by Accounts Payable. * Works with Training and Corporate Communications to communicate changes to HNB policies and procedures that are related to Commercial card * Develops and facilitates the collections reporting process that includes working with Colleague managers to ensure Colleagues submit expense reports in a timely manner and that commercial card balances are cleared in a timely manner. Basic Qualifications * High School Diploma * 3 or more years of Customer Service experience * 1 or more years of commercial card experience Preferred Qualifications: * Business-related undergraduate degree * General accounting knowledge and knowledge of accounts payable processes. * Experience effectively communicating with all levels of employees and management in a Fortune 1000 company environment * Project Management experience. * Demonstrated ability to critically analyze situations and risks, determine paths of action, and make recommendations to remediate issues. * Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Strong interpersonal/customer service skills. * Excellent time management skills/ability to manage changing priorities. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite. * Organized, methodical and conscientious. * Proven capability to exceed delivery targets.
