Job Overview:

Generac Clean Energy seeks a Business Analyst. This position is responsible for creating and managing budgets, tracking, reporting, and supporting various financial processes for energy efficiency projects. This individual plays a crucial role in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data to provide insights and support decision-making processes within the organization. They are responsible for generating reports, identifying trends, and offering recommendations based on their findings.

A successful candidate will work cross functional to design key data tracking, reporting, and invoicing processes necessary to successfully deliver, service, and document DOE program delivery. Activities are likely to include set up and ongoing maintenance of financial tracking and reporting tools, building and/or utilizing data queries to relay program data to key stakeholders, reviewing / correcting regular invoices, working with project and financial controls team members to support ad hoc data and program tracking responsibilities as needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect data, generate reports, analyze, communicate insights, monitor performance over time, use data-driven insights to influence outcomes and decision-making.

  • Collaborate with functional team leaders to prepare, track, and maintain revenue, expense, and budget dashboards.

  • Assist with the procurement, account setup, and invoice review processes of vendors and subcontractors.

  • Assist with the general coordination and preparation of financial documents, presentations, and general client submittals.

  • Ensures compliance with established policies and procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation to support compliance audits as requested.

  • May have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects.

  • Highly motivated individual that can apply creative approaches to solving problems.

  • Support and work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • Ensuring compliance with all quality and safety policies as well as all OSHA

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.

  • 3+ years' experience in finance, accounting, data analysis, or other relevant field.

  • Outstanding written and oral communications skills.

  • Strong in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams).

Preferred:

  • Ability to work independently on straightforward tasks using established procedures.

  • Ability to apply basic technical skills and knowledge to complete assigned work.

  • Ability to work with others as part of a team.

  • Self-starter with the ability to manage time, work independently and prioritize projects within established deadlines and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

  • Commitment to fostering a collaborative work environment within the team and the broader organization.

  • Ability to think critically to solve issues and provide resolutions.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics, SharePoint, and Excel (Power Query, PivotTables, IF statements, VLOOKUP functions, etc.)

  • SAP, Sales Force, and PowerBI experience

  • •Strong analytical skills with proficiency in statistical analysis and data manipulation tools (e.g., Excel, R, Python, SQL, Tableau).

  • Excellent planning skills with proven experience in project management, data tracking, and comfort with financial processes.

  • Proven experience developing and maintaining relationships with various stakeholders at all levels of a matrix organization

  • 1+ years' experience in the energy efficiency industry preferred
