Job Summary:
The Arizona Department of Administration (ADOA) Division of Business and Finance is seeking a skilled Business Analyst Senior. This role involves developing, maintaining, and enhancing application projects, including analysis, design, coding, testing, documentation, and implementation.
Key responsibilities include analyzing customer requirements, creating program specifications, unit testing, assisting during customer testing, and supporting production implementation. Effective communication with customers to resolve issues and clarify requirements is crucial. On-call duties related to AZ360 interfaces are required.
The candidate must have extensive AZ360 knowledge to research and resolve reported issues. The role involves learning new tools (e.g., Robotic Process Automation software, Java) and training staff members. Technical leadership, training, and mentoring of new staff are essential.
The Business Analyst Senior will ensure the timely and budget-compliant development and implementation of new interfaces and AZ360 processes. Deliverables include program specifications, source code, test plans, implementation documentation, status reports, and other materials to ensure successful project implementation.

Job Duties:
Develop detailed interface design and enhancement specifications; responsible for new development and/or maintenance of existing interface and Robotic Process Automation (RPA) enhancements; including analysis, design, configuration/coding, testing, documentation, implementation and related work as required
Communicate with customer, technical support, AZ360 Operations, and Security
Analyze the customer requirements and program specifications to translate into computer coded instruction
Unit test and provide assistance during customer testing, and assist with implementation into Production
Analyze existing configuration and/or code to provide information or evaluate how it can be modified to meet the customer's requirements
Create, modify and test configuration/code to meet customer's requirements
Troubleshoot problems to determine the cause and solution
Assist customer during testing to resolve problems and issues, and provide information as requested
Attend meetings with management, team and customer
Attend training classes
Assist in training and mentoring of team members, including configuration/programming, scheduling, design and problem resolution
Review work product to ensure quality and compliance with standards
Tangible products include detail program specifications, program source code, test plans and results, implementation documentation, and status reports
Perform after hours support for inbound and outbound AZ360 interfaces, including call back duties
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):
Knowledge of:
Computer application analysis, design, modification and implementation
Time management and principles of effective communication
Web technologies including interface tools
General accounting systems/applications
Principles, concepts and practices of State government management and administrative processes

Selective Preference(s):
Bachelors or technical degree related to information technology
Project Management Institute Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
