VIEW JOBS 7/16/2018 12:00:00 AM 2018-10-14T00:00 Amazon is seeking a talented, accomplished, technically savvy business leader to drive Seller Growth and Experience for International Seller Services (ISS). This business enables Sellers who sell on our third-party Marketplace to expand their customer reach by accessing Amazon's fast-growing markets outside their country of origin, an expansion strategy called "Global Selling." Global Selling comprises numerous, rapidly growing arcs, including launching US Sellers into the EU and Japan, and launching China-based Sellers into North America, EU, and numerous countries in Asia. Amazon's Marketplace drives over half of the items sold on Amazon worldwide, and Global Selling comprises 25% of Marketplace, a segment which is growing at a brisk 50% year over year. The Head of International Seller Growth and Experience will be a key member of the ISS leadership team and run an international team of 200+ individuals across multiple functions, including Product Management, Software Development, Operations, Business Intelligence, and Program Management. She/he will develop and present her/his strategic operating plan on an annual basis to the VP of International Seller Services and SVP of the International Consumer business; hold monthly business reviews and regular deep dives with her/his senior stakeholders and peers; serve as a strategic problem-solving partner to the VP, ISS and the ISS leadership team; and build/maintain a high performing, highly engaged team. This leader's organization has a broad remit with 3 distinct goals to drive innovation and simplification across ISS: * Build solutions to meet the specific needs of International Sellers: This leader will develop a deep understanding of International Seller needs, craft and implement business requirements to meet these needs, and rollout scalable applications and services to address the priorities of International Sellers. The development of these services will build and leverage the centrally managed platform and services and extend, evolve or adapt this feature set to drive the success of International Sellers. While the product and services developed by this team may target the needs of a specific country, region, or seller type, they will be built according to Amazon's exacting engineering standards to drive ease of global rollout should the need arise. One key area of investment this leader will drive is a world-class launch experience that enables Sellers to "list once, sell globally." * Accelerate performance of regional teams: This leader will drive global best practices by diving deep into local performance and developing globally applicable insights. For instance, she/he will own the worldwide Business Intelligence (BI) function for ISS, accountable for driving both strategic analytics and overall data architecture design/implementation. The BI function comprises a small central team, plus geographically dispersed BI resources who drive specific initiatives for their local teams. This leader will be accountable for prioritizing investments and driving best practices across this entire function. She/he will also lead a small central team devoted to Self-Service Registration (SSR), the business that drives the success of Sellers who launch on Amazon without the support of a Sales rep or Onboarding specialist, and comprises the majority of the Marketplace business. She/he will develop consistent metrics for SSR worldwide, drive visibility into performance differences across regions, and share successful strategies across regions for the local teams to drive. This leader will also incubate resources in the central team who are devoted to the growth of nascent regions. As these regions grow, she/he will develop a strategy to determine if and when there is sufficient scale to build regional teams. * Drive operating efficiencies, automation, and scale: This leader is accountable for driving operating efficiencies for central functions by streamlining processes, eliminating duplication, and flexing resources to adapt to demand. For example, she/he will own leads management, the function that drives high quality leads to Sales teams across the business. This will ensure a consistent global strategy, higher productivity, and an integrated suite of automated solutions. Amazon.Com, Inc. Seattle WA
