Your Future Team

Asset Modeling Operations and Analytics Services (AMOAS) is a team within Securities and Portfolio Analytics Services function (SAPAS). SAPAS resides within COO function of AIG Investments. The AMOAS team is a highly quantitative operations team responsible for executing standard and specialized production processes that operate asset valuation and other models to produce analytics content based on unique business process and customer specifications. The AMOAS team also supports model governance and life cycle management, process analysis and documentation, service level agreements for major production processes, and operational risk initiatives including RCSA (Risk Control Self-Assessment).

Effectiveness in this role requires a unique blend of knowledge and skills, while providing exposure to virtually all asset classes and asset valuation models, and plus all production processes and content requirements as driven by a wide breadth of customers or stakeholders, both internal and external. This role provides opportunity to develop in asset valuation modeling, and transition into related roles long term.

Your Contribution at AIG

  • Operationalize and Manage Service Level Agreements (SLA's)

  • Develop mechanism and track against stated targets

  • Develop and report KPI's associated with processes and deliverables, and operational risks

  • Maintain and update SLA's as processes or people or services levels change

  • Develop knowledge of analytics processes, production planning, production coordination, asset modeling systems, input data and data schemas, and output data schemas and data flows.

  • Provide back-up to lead production coordinator

  • Assist in operational risk management, including RCSA

  • Facilitate, track progress and or raise concerns on action plans associated with elevated operational risk identified via the RCSA Process and or otherwise

  • Assist on model life cycle management

  • Assist with managing model plans for new models as well as ensuring that all information associated with existing models is up to date by working with model owners/ developers and the model administration reporting system (MARS) team

  • Assist with quarterly updates to the model committee and yearly attestations

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant discipline such as Business Management, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Operations Research, Information Technology or Engineering. Master's degree will be considered. Willingness or objective to pursue CFA and/or FRM Charter is a plus.

  • 1 5 years of experience in a business analyst role; candidates with no experience but have the related educational background and/or internships will be considered.

  • Ideally someone who aspires to grow as an investment professional, but in an operations role with broad perspective.

  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills, combined with process and project management orientation or foundations a must.

  • Exposure to process systems from experience in either IT or operations is beneficial, plus strong interest in developing expertise in both data and process systems applied in operating asset models and generation fixed income analytics is a must.

  • Enjoys role with a broad scope across assets, data, models, analytics, and processes, versus a role that requires deep subject matter expertise in a narrow asset class or discipline a must.

  • Some foundational knowledge of asset valuation modeling and/or analytics systems and processes is beneficial to this role

  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with internal control or monitoring functions, including Internal Audit, Operation Risk Management, Finance Control Unit, and/or Enterprise Risk Management.

  • Ability to work in dynamic and evolving work environment that includes tight deadlines, multiple processes operating simultaneously, plus changing or competing priorities.

  • Exposure to various types of stress tests or capital assessment frameworks for financial institution, or strong interest in developing knowledge about scenario based processes applied in stress tests or capital assessments.

  • Willingness and ability to develop a very broad, but also quite deep knowledge of the entire data and modeling infrastructure at AIG Investments, as well as all unique production processes.

  • Model Operators typically require intensive development and training over a period of 12 18 months in order to develop foundation of institutional knowledge needed to operate effectively, and relatively independently. Due to complexity of models and analytics, a strong applied quantitative modeling capability and grounding in investment analytics is also a strong plus for this position.

The Trader represents JPMorgan Securities Lending within the borrower community and owns the borrower agenda within JPMorgan; ensuring they translate & deliver the client lending mandate into meaningful borrower derived revenue opportunities and wider JPM strategic securities lending agenda. The Analyst on the US Equities and Corporate Bond trading desk is the entry level role and the person will work with the trading team to generate reports, analyse data and trends apply technical skills and gain experience in securities lending. Ultimately, the role is expected to develop away from the traditional agency lending trader towards a research-sales trader with goal of making JPM Agency the preferred lender of choice to the borrower community. In addition to the Role Overview, for the Trading Analyst will: * Generate reports for traders, clients, client facing teams and management as needed. These reports are used to identify trade opportunities, identify trends, provide oversight and supervision and quantify results. The analyst will bring a fresh approach to using data to increasing P&L. * Partner with client coverage teams to provide meaningful analysis. * Be assigned a participation role in projects ranging from technology changes and upgrades to new product testing and implementation. * Partner with the traders to learn the role, initially backfilling where needed and eventually transitioning to a "full-time" trader.
