o Minimum of 5-6 years of relevant work experience within the insurance.

o 5+ years of CRM administrative experience ( preferred)

o Experience with managing project with an agile methodology (preferred)

o Previous re-engineering experience updating an existing configuration to provide solutions for reporting, workflows and enhanced functions

o Motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.

o Ability to function in a high demand work environment while managing multiple priorities

o Excellent oral, written and presentation skills

o Strong problem solving skills, data and software applications

o Ability to function equally as an individual and as a team player

o Proficient with Excel and database applications

Position Primary Accountabilities:

o Serve as the SME on the project deliverables:

o Work with matrix partners to outline business process mapping to support system impacts

o Develop and carry out concise and insightful user stories

o Support writing the gap analysis and technical requirements with the development team

o Provide analytic support for product development/compliance requests

o Assist with project management tasks for cross-functional projects to ensure alignment including but not limited to process mapping, and testing both functional/UAT design & execution.

o Support communication of project deliverables, backlog release management, etc.

General Summary: Unum is hiring for a seasoned Business Analyst that will work with an Agile Development team to write user stories, lead story decomposition, and put together the technical documentation for the developers to provide the code for the applications. They will also work with the Product Owner to define and document acceptance criteria with little to no oversight and ensure the solutions delivered are of high quality. This role requires a Business Analyst who is adept at the finer details to be established and can insure good turnaround time to the Development Team; possessing the ability to effectively elicit and facilitate requirements from the business will be paramount to this position. Job Specifications * Bachelor's Degree preferred, or equivalent experience * Has 4 - 6+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in a SDLC environment * Demonstrable experience with Agile Development Methodologies * Possess experience working with any of the following JIRA, Confluence, Rally Agile, Visio * Experience with MS Office with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint * Demonstrable experience communicating and working with both Technical and non-Technical stakeholders to work effectively within a team and more broadly with people from a variety of backgrounds and areas across the organization * Clearly demonstrates analytical and critical thinking abilities taking a logical approach to problem solving and pays close attention to detail * Must be self-motivated and results oriented * Strong written communication skills to document and communication requirements * IIBA certifications are a plus * Experience with SQL or data modeling is preferred * Any prior experience with cloud applications is highly prized particularly with AWS Principal Duties and Responsibilities * Elicit requirements using appropriate techniques (often times elicitation will require work on artifacts such as Personas, User Stories and/or Story Maps) * Collaborates with Product Owners to manage and groom the backlog for the team * Collaborates with the Product owner and relevant subject matter experts to lead the definition of concise and effective user stories with precise and accurate acceptance criteria that will be used by the team and product owner to ensure that stakeholder and product owner intent is effectively captured and developed * Define the detailed design and acceptance criteria for a user story on a just‐in‐time/just‐enough basis * Review the acceptance criteria with the Team (Software Engineers and Test Engineers) to ensure agreement on testability so the team can drive toward getting the right tests automated to support continuous integration * Determine and use the most appropriate means of representing business requirements in the context of a specific change initiative, ensuring traceability back to the source * Leads Story Decomposition to enable planning at the appropriate level of granularity that supports the just‐in‐time nature of agile approaches * Collaborates with the agile team during planning and interacts with the Scrum Master or Team Lead and product owner to agree sprint deliverables post sprint planning * Collaborates with Business Analysts to ensure that the stories identified and defined are aligned with the Capability roadmap * Gather requirements for persona of specific user experiences.
