Amazon's North American Surface Transportation Safety and Compliance team (NA ST S&C) is seeking a motivated leader with exceptional communication and project management skills to drive large scale projects, programs and technical initiatives within the Amazon Freight Partner (AFP) program.
This is an exciting space that is in the heart of North American Surface Transportation Safety & Compliance within Middle Mile. The team is comprised of subject matter experts who leverage safety data and information to continually raise the bar on transportation services at Amazon. Because we strive for faster results and continuous safety improvements, you must be passionate about identifying and prioritizing the most impactful efforts that raise the bar for safety.
As a Business Analyst, you will serve as the subject matter expert on presenting data in an informative and actionable way and in a way that facilitates productive, cross-functional dialogue. Your detailed analysis will inform decisions on investments, routings, opportunities and performance. You will collaborate with our centralized Business Intelligence and Data Engineering team to leverage existing, and creating access to newer data needed to inform business decisions. You will build analytical models, size opportunities, prioritize for ROI, implement techniques to process large data sets, apply statistical testing methods, address quantitative problems, build dashboards that enable leaders to better understand their business data, assess functional business performance, and develop targeted, scalable action plans. As an experienced data expert, you will be responsible for supporting as well as coaching team peers who lead functional strategies. You will be responsible for designing and implementing tangible insights, business metrics, measurement systems that guide operations, projects, and programs roadmaps. You will have an opportunity to publish findings, updates, and data driven recommendations to Senior Leadership.
Major responsibilities:
Be the SME leading design and execution of business analytics
Build data visualization reports and tools for self-service consumption of data
Analyze and extract relevant information from large amounts of both structured and unstructured data to help automate and optimize key processes
Define the business problem and solution approach autonomously, to size and prioritize business growth opportunities for maximizing return on effort, and reduce lead-times from concept to launch
Analyze and validate data to ensure high data quality and reliable insights
Partner with data engineering teams to improve data assets, quality, metrics and insights
Proactively identify opportunity areas for deep dive investigations and future program development
As the primary data and analysis expert supporting a team of 12, create intake and prioritization process to balance fast-turnaround business needs, with regular processes and longer time frame strategic projects.
Write concise documents communicating results to stakeholders and visualize data to drive decision making

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's Degree, or other related advanced degree
Experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, eCommere, Retail
Ability to apply statistical techniques and facilitate market research (i.e. hypothesis testing, control groups, benchmarking studies)
5+ years of experience working in web analytics - e.g. funnel progression, visitor behavior, conversion analysis, marketing campaign optimization, click-through rates
5+ years of experience owning creation and regular circulation of business reports
High level of competence & skill set in variety of business analysis, e.g. trend analysis, segmentation analysis, cost-benefit analysis, scenario analysis, CLTV analysis, financial analysis, survey analysis, ROI analysis, opportunity sizing, conjoint analysis, sales forecasting, and the like.
