The Purchasing and Planning Analyst role is critical in various aspects of the golf ball planning, procurement, and production processes. This individual is responsible for fulfillment of made to stock products based on collective information coming from multiple departments, i.e., Planners, Sales, and Warehouse Personnel. This individual is responsible for the escalation process when conflicting objectives exist as it pertains to ball priorities due to capacity, material, or other issues. This position optimizes order fulfillment workflow to our North American Ball Assembly Plant in South Carolina, and Distribution Center in Indiana. This role also is responsible for direct material purchasing and inventory management within South Carolina production facility. This position defines the factory output and provides reliable order promising to internal customers. This individual will also work closely with the Global Factory Scheduling team to ensure the South Carolina manufacturing facility's manufacturing priorities align with broader utilization targets. This role will also ensure cross-regional alignment across multiple teams, balancing priorities impacting supply and capacity utilization.

Essential Functions and Key Responsibilities:

  • Defines daily, weekly, and monthly factory output schedules in line with TaylorMade's factory management objectives.

  • Mitigate risk of shortage vs. excess at IPG by highlighting and communicating variations in the level of product movement types which impact variations in supply chain and demand forecast to the ball planner.

  • Key communication of accurate availability during times of product or capacity constraints or when nearing closeout at end of product life.

  • Provide oversight and responsibility for Go-To-Market execution.

  • Coordinate launch timing with input from Sales and Global Planning to ensure transparency in communication and achievement of target PAR dates. (Build studies and pilot runs are good to go)

  • Procures and manages raw material inventory levels in support of manufacturing schedules and target safety stocks.

  • Maintains product output schedules and reliable promising dates in applicable ERP system.

  • Maintains manufacturing execution system (MES) to ensure accurate tracking of material flow for production, financial, and planning purposes.

  • Collects and reports onsite WIP and inventory value levels.

  • Reports on day to day outputs and escalates any process bottlenecks or yield issues preventing product flow.

  • Works closely with Global Factory scheduling team to ensure individual site's objectives align with broader utilization targets.

  • Maintains internal communication with Operation teams to ensure alignment of product manufacturing priorities.

  • Performs other related duties and assignments as required.

Knowledge and Skills Requirements:

  • Experience managing tactical level material planning processes (MRP)

  • Experience managing tactical level manufacturing execution system (MES)

  • Collaborator with a proven ability to work cross functionally to achieve goals and influence outside of their direct organization structure. Capable of acknowledging multiple perspectives across stakeholders and facilitate alignment utilizing objectivity and what is "best for the business."

  • Ability to work across teams and manage priorities to accomplish multiple tasks as required.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).

  • Strong English written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with all levels.

Education, Work Experience, and Professional Certifications:

  • BS Degree relevant field or equivalent related work experience.
  • 5 years of professional experience in materials management, order management, supply chain management, procurement and/or other related field
  • APICS certification desired

Work Environment / Physical Requirements:

  • Combination of normal office conditions as well as manufacturing/warehouse conditions

  • Extensive computer and phone usage

  • Ability to work extended hours as necessary

  • Able to work efficiently and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruption

  • Light physical effort equal to frequent lifting or moving of lightweight materials

  • Frequent travel may be required
