Document requirements, define scope and objectives and formulate systems to parallel overall business strategies.   • Determine operational objectives by studying business functions; gathering information; evaluating output requirements and formats
  • Construct information and workflow charts and diagrams; studying system capabilities; writing specifications
  • Define project requirements by identifying project milestones, phases and elements; forming project team; establishing project budget
  • Monitor project progress by tracking activity; resolving problems; publishing progress reports; recommending actions
  • Conduct and coordinate financial, product, market, operational and related research to support strategic and business planning within the various departments and programs of the client group
  • Perform daily, weekly and monthly reviews and analyses of current processes using operational metrics and reports
  • Provide pre-sales technical assistance and product education to the Growth Team, clients, and prospects
  • Provide technical specifications and statements of work for a quote or proposal and aid in preparing accompanying materials.
  • Interpret customer requirements and information; speak with customers to understand their end user needs and relay this information to process flows and diagrams
  • Perform technical presentations that demonstrate how service information and process flow can benefit and meet customer needs
  • Attend weekly service delivery and business development meetings and ensure business development opportunities are compliant with company capabilities
Basic Requirements, Knowledge, and Skills
  • BA/BS, in engineering, engineering technology, business administration or a related field
  • Microsoft Access and/or SQL experience strongly preferred
  • ConnectWise platform knowledge and information workflows a must
  • 8 years successful and documented business analyst experience
  • PMP Certification desirable but not required
  • 5-8 years extensive knowledge of Emergency Communication Center operations and business process flows and systems
  • Exemplary Communications, both oral and written. Writing for RFQ, RFP, presentations, and technical reports. Exceptional listener. Understanding client goals and how they measure success. Ability to assess client situations. Identify needs, present concepts, develop specifications and recommendations, and deliver solutions
  • Ability to travel is 30% - 50%
  • Valid Drivers License with the ability to drive to client sites and MCP regional office locations

AT&T has an opening for a Public Safety SME/Sales Engineer: This overlay sales or specialist sales position is responsible for selling complex/technical products, services, applications, and/or solutions to customers in order to solve their strategic business needs. Key Roles and Responsibilities: Responsible for selling complex technical products and new and emerging application services, generates sales, and supports the sales efforts of direct sellers by leveraging product, industry, and/or technological expertise. Engages with accounts a specialist as opportunities are identified. Leads the sales and technical team in support of the sale of the products, services and solutions. Demonstrates working knowledge of new and emerging application services and products. Spends majority of the time at the customer's premise developing and presenting sales proposals and systems solutions for highly complex projects. Works in a matrixed organization where multiple internal and external partners require engagement to develop and advance opportunities to adoption. Duties directly related to making sales include: Meeting with customers and engaging in activities at the customer's site; communicating with customers via phone, teleconference, e-mail, etc. related to proposed solutions/sales, etc.; traveling to and from the customers premise for the purpose of engaging in activities; providing subject matter expertise regarding technical issues; advising customers on suitability of products based on technical needs; preparing proposals, presentations, or bids, including developing pricing, developing strategic plans related to the customer and the proposed solutions/sales; researching and developing customer solutions with AT&T external partners, including design and engineering; and researching customer business and industry to identify new sales opportunities. Experience: * Ability to demonstrate 5-10 years of verifiable public safety or industry character references * Understand funding and procurement processes of government agencies associated with complex infrastructure and application investments * Understanding of first responder environment and dispatching processes * Excellent public speaking and presentation skills with experience in speaking to government officials, customer executives and key influencers. * Understanding and experience in selling mobile broadband technology and its application to first responder and DHS critical infrastructure operational processes * Depth of knowledge in two-way radio communication design, complex cellular architectures, complex wireline infrastructure, security, & FirstNet * Understanding of first responder applications such as CAD, RMS, JMS, ALPR, NLETS, NCIC, NFIR, E-Citation, AFIS and others involved in incident command * Knowledge of cellular and network architectures and trends in cellular technology, redundancy strategies as well as risk mitigation techniques * Knowledge of methods to secure data in transit and at rest * Understand discussions around control of costs and return on investment analysis * Competitive knowledge of the mobile broadband marketplace for first responders Education: Typically requires a Bachelor's degree.
