Because of a strategic commitment, United Technologies Aerospace Systems (UTAS) created the Electronic Systems Center (ESC) headquartered in scenic Phoenix, AZ. The ESC supports a wide variety of UTAS aerospace products with state-of-art engineering development, testing, and production facilities and expertise. The ESC team designs, tests, builds, and supports electronic control units and systems for primary flight control systems, high-lift systems, electronic and hydraulically actuated brake control systems, and many other products for all parts of the United Technologies Enterprise. The Business Analyst will be a part of the Program Management Office and support all Electronic Systems Center's programs and functions. The role will provide partnership between engineering and business, create increased visibility into operational strategy and performance with the goal of driving speed, quality and cost efficiency. It will include headcount projections and reporting as well as development of reports and presentations.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop integrated revenue and expense analyses, projections, reports, and presentations, monthly, quarterly, and annually.

  • Prepare and analyze financial reports and communicate key metrics and recommendations to management in a clear, organized summary.

  • Assist in planning and forecasting program financial performance and prepare future strategic plans.

  • Provide partnership to business; create increased visibility into operational strategy and performance in support of headcount forecast / reporting.

  • Act as business partner to demonstrate insight of financial analysis techniques, tools and concepts to provide practical counsel to drive results.

  • Reconcile data from multiple sources and perform general support of financial statement forecasts.

  • Perform analysis and prepare reports in order to ensure that contracts are within negotiated and agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines.

  • Lead the implementation of the tool development and updates in support of financial analysis tools

  • Plan, elicit, capture, analyze, develop, and validate business processes/procedures

  • Support functional Cost Reduction Initiatives (CRI) across the business.

  • Support audits, reviews, and fact-finding requested by programs, customers, and company
