Duke Homecare & Hospice offers hospice, home health and infusion services. Hospice care is offered to terminally ill patients in their home, skilled-nursing facilities, assisted-living facilities, and at our two inpatient facilities located in Hillsborough and Durham, North Carolina.
The Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration of department financial and operating procedures and programs.
Leading software transition to include recommendation and creation of workflows
Creation and delivery of training to all staff
Reporting responsibilities to include:
Review and analyze
Make recommendations related to marketing and referrals, process improvement based on data analysis findings
Present reporting results and recommendations to Director
Cost Analysis responsibilities to include:
Create cost benefit analysis of pharmacy product lines
Develop, run and analyze reports to help program determine cost and benefit of therapies provided
Provide department budget planning support to Director
Maintain and evaluate the efficiency of office systems to include internal pharmacy infusion work list
Control and maintain departmental volume and productivity statistics and report pharmacy leadership of changing department needs.
Aggregate and analyze departmental data recommending responses to any deviations.
Develop, maintain, and implement other pharmacy software initiatives including:
Infusion clinical software system with respect to drug database, standard order groups, standard progress notes (Note Phrases), patient outcome management and other pharmacy requirements as needed
Assist with testing and QA new releases for DHCH/Pharmacy utility prior to release
Work with users and administration to resolve Pharmacy IT related issues
Provide Project Management for pharmacy initiatives by defining and implementing changes for short term and long-term pharmacy goals.
Prepare financial and operational reports and analyses reflecting progress, adverse trends, and appropriate recommendations or conclusions.
Serve as departmental liaison with department of finance.
Supervise and coordinate the work of designated employees reviewing completed work for adherence to instructions or correctness.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Strong analytical, financial work, problem solving and interpersonal skills required
Preferred KSA's include: budget projection, analyzing trend, supervision, accounting/bookkeeping, payroll system
Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Economics or a related business field. Master's Degree preferred.
Experience: Work generally requires 1 year of experience
