Location: Pompano Beach, Florida / Remote

Reports to: The Director of Technology Design and Management

Type: Full Time Exempt

Summary

The Technology Design and Management team's business analyst will help OneHope implement technology solutions to serve our team members throughout the ministry as we affect the destiny of youth and children around the world. This role will work with the Technology Design and Management team to analyze and understand ministry processes to maximize the missional value of our technology platforms and initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Connect with and serve our partners through personal Culture of Engagement (C.O.E.) responsibilities, up to 10% of your time annually.

  • Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Maintain a courteous, Christ-like attitude in dealing with people within and outside OneHope, live out our OneHope DNA, and faithfully uphold OneHope in prayer.

  • Collaborate with the other functions within Technology & Operations.

  • Perform additional tasks and responsibilities within the Technology Design and Management Team as directed.

Business Process design and documentation

  • Understand the organization's structure, business processes, and systems and how they interrelate to provide value for leadership and associates.

  • Engage with initiative stakeholders to understand their goals and processes and drive the development and documentation of the resulting business requirements.

  • Evaluate business processes, identify opportunities for improvement/automation, and present proposals to stakeholders for consideration.

  • Support the design and documentation of business processes related to technology initiatives.

Support the director of technology design and management in managing the organizational technology backlog.

  • Understand and contribute to the organization of the ministry-wide technology backlog, long-term priorities, and timelines.

  • Create and maintain a business capability map for the ministry, and analyze and propose potential initiatives.

  • Maintain technology application portfolio documentation, and analyze the portfolio for opportunities to generate ministry value.

Lead the definition of technology initiatives.

  • Work with relevant stakeholders to develop and refine business cases for potential technology initiatives.

  • Establish metrics for technology initiatives to estimate return on investment (ROI) and return on mission (ROM). Evaluate returns of previous initiatives.

  • Perform data collection and analysis to aid in problem definition for projects.

Support the business analysis needs of individual technology initiatives.

  • Define data processing requirements to complete complex data projects.

  • Define minor scripting or programming requirements as needed.

Skills

  • Strong understanding of general business functions and how processes and technology enable them.

  • Excellent analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.

  • Strong attention to detail; aptitude for capturing details that fall through the cracks; meticulous note-taking skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.

  • Experience with data collection and statistical analysis.

  • Cross-cultural awareness and sensitivity.

  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams with varying timelines and complexity with passion, humility, and good time management.

  • Team player but able to work independently and self-direct projects and responsibilities.

  • Desire to learn and to contribute to a culture of innovation.

  • Ability to exercise a high level of confidentiality.

  • English is required, but bilingual is preferred (Spanish, French, Portuguese, Mandarin).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Suite productivity tools (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel, Sheets, Docs, Forms, etc.). Ability to learn new software tools as directed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience.

  • Basic understanding of non-profit organizations.

  • 5+ Years of professional experience.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required to stand, walk, and sit. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.

  • This position may require travel both domestically and internationally.

  • Most work must be completed during normal business hours on the U.S. East Coast.

  • Our work is international and may sometimes require flexibility to accommodate teams in different time zones.
