Business Analyst Position Highlights: The Business Analyst helps shape and guide the functional and technical design of Moffitt Cancer Center#s Application Development teams# portfolio. Analyze high level business requirements. Create functional specifications and report documentation to define how applications behave. Interface with customers during functional specification gathering, testing, prototyping and implementation phases. Work with the development team on the technical design of products. Together with the Product Manager, act as a product owner within the Scrum team to ensure that deliverables meet the customers# needs. Identify interactions and assess impacts with other Moffitt Cancer Center enterprise applications, products, and solutions to ensure functional compatibility. Provide inputs to Business Owners, Product Owners, and IT Owners for product functionalities enhancement, business cases, and business processes and workflows, based on their knowledge and product experience. As a Business Analyst the individual will work as part of the Application Development Teams.# They are responsible for collecting and analyzing information to formulate the scope and objectives of technology solutions. They build user stories, translate stories into functional, technical requirements, and acceptance criteria, scope technical and training documentation, and ensuring products are delivered error free according to user requirements. They can easily translate requirements into test plans. The Business Analyst will work with the product manager and business owners through all stages of the software development life cycle (SDLC) through testing and training to ensure needs are met. They take responsibility in managing the requirements and maintaining agreements between the customer and the project team.

Responsibilities:
Partners with Product Manager, internal and external users (e.g., team members, leadership, patients) and IT teams to capture context - problem, current state, desired future state, objectives, business needs and impacted user groups. Ensures the requirements are specified in a manner suitable for the intended audience and are understandable, unambiguous and capable of being implemented and tested. Recommend controls by identifying problems; writing improved procedures. Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications. Quality and Review Provides production support activities, which include researching and resolving technical issues and end user support.

Qualifications:


Bachelor#s degree Computer Science, Software Development, Engineering or Similar Degree OR - * Associate#s with an additional two (2) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 7 years) systems support and analysis may be considered #in lieu of# an Bachelor#s degree. ###- OR - * High School diploma/GED with an additional four (4) years IT systems support plus the five (5) years (for a total of 9 years) systems support and analysis may be considered #in lieu of# an Bachelor#s degree. Minimum of five (5) years of experience with: Working in Information Technology analyzing and documenting business, stakeholder, functional and non-functional/technical requirements in support of strategic and/or operational initiatives and projects. Minimum of three(3) years of experience with: IT or Business Project role for analysis, development, and testing. Proficient in requirements gathering methodologies and the SDLC. Minimum of two (2) years of experience with: Facilitating sessions using techniques to help define scope and requirements of medium to large projects that may cross 2 or more business and technical domains Working in an Agile environment with methodologies (e.g., Scrum) Development and planning tools (e.g., Jira) PaaS / SaaS models Cloud solutions (e.g., GCP, AWS, Azure) Demonstrates the following abilities: Knowledge of programming languages, framework, or system platform (e.g., .Net/C#, Javascript Frameworks (e.g., Angular, Node), Python, Java, SQL, Pega Systems) Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to research solutions across technology stacks and teams. Ability to learn quickly and think creatively. Ability to implement identify and implement process improvements.
