JOB SUMMARY

As the Marketing Specialist, Mobile, you will be part of our Digital Marketing team. Your responsibilities will include managing the Spectrum Mobile messaging strategy using product expertise, OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines, consumer insights and competitive information.

You will provide messaging support to internal and external stakeholders as needed to ensure brand voice and standardization. In this role you will also collaborate with cross-functional teams to document clear and articulate business objectives so that the development team(s) can focus on best-in-class delivery solutions.

You will be able to see our products through the lens of our customers and have an excellent ability to transform strategic intent into fully elaborated requirements in the form of user stories, feature specifications and acceptance criteria. You will drive and articulate product value delivery through the agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily scrums, demo and retrospectives seeking improvement through every PI Planning/Sprint.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for ensuring strategic alignment of Spectrum Mobile creative through cross-functional partnership with all relevant teams, including Brand, Product Development, Direct Marketing, Digital Marketing, Multicultural, SMB, and Social.

  • Adhere to brand standards and guidelines, evolve standards as needed and manage updates to all cross-functional teams.

  • Manage messaging strategy using Spectrum Mobile product expertise, OEM guidelines and consumer insights as inputs.

  • Provide messaging support to stakeholders as needed to ensure brand voice and standardization.

  • Own the approval process, by working with OEMs and internal stakeholders, for images, written content and media plans, on behalf of multiple teams within the Digital Marketing group.

  • Own, manage, develop and prioritize product backlog of user stories.

  • Establish user story acceptance criteria and accept user stories for deployment.

  • Attend sprint planning and review meetings to give feedback on sprint achievement to the team.

  • Ensure product features are clear and succinct to eliminate guess-work from the development team.

  • Engage with stakeholders to obtain information (requirements) on expected features.

  • Partner with internal competitive analysis and research teams to effectively message our products and services in-market with direct response tactics.

  • Ensure that all stories and features are adding value to our end-users and increase company returns.

  • Create and maintain road maps and features based on corporate strategy and vision.

  • Track long term business strategy for road maps to meet goals.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Skills/Abilities and Knowledge

Ability to read, write and speak the English language to communicate with staff, colleagues, cross functional teams, and third party suppliers in person, on the phone, and by written communications in a clear, straight-forward, and professional manner

  • Experience with digital marketing and websites

  • Experience working on e-commerce platforms

  • Experience with digital campaign launches.

  • Excellent communication, organizational and problem solving skills, thorough attention to detail, and the capability to meet deadlines, while working both independently and as part of a team

  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Power user of networking tools such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc.

  • Ability to handle multiple projects and deadlines

  • Experience leading a matrix team

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing or related field or equivalent experience

Related Work Experience

  • 2+ years Direct marketing experience in mobile/wireless industry
  • 3+ years Digital Marketing experience
  • 3+ years E-commerce platform experience

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Related Work Experience

  • Work in an agile environment; 1+ years

  • Ability to use AHA and or Jira

  • MBA preferred

  • Office environment

  • Must be able to work in Stamford, CT
